Is it still looping and what OS are you coming from? If so did you just disconnect the device and how did you stop it from resetting

Have you tried this step (and using version 1.2 as Slff mentioned), run SIC first, once it says connecting to bootrom connect your Q10 WITHOUT battery. Once the process going you can re-insert the battery.

Hope it works now for you

Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. Too tired tonight. I'll have a trip down memory lane tomorrow--life before cell phones! Until I have some time in the afternoon to do this.

Edit: Tried it anyway. Still stuck in reset loop.

That strange, if you connect the phone without battery when SIC windows saying connecting to bootrom it never goes to resetting action

Correct. I connected without battery and got "Connecting to bootrom" and then nothing at all happened. I waited about 15 minutes and there was no activity. Then when I put the battery in, the reset loop started.

I'm going to try it on a different computer later today.

I'm in the office now, and Multiwipe started right up and it's doing its thing as I write this. I hope I have better luck with the .700 installation as a result.

Ok, I seem to have gotten myself into a pickle here.

I installed the latest 10.3 leak on a Z10, non-destructive core os bla bla bla with Sachesi, but the process went maybe halfway before stopping due to an error.

So I left it partially installed, and did a regular security wipe, and of course found there were still some half-installed things messed up on the phone.

So I then downloaded SIC Multiwipe, and tried wiping the phone. I plugged the phone in and then it said "connecting to bootrom"...so at this point I rebooted the phone (it says to "turn phone on when prompted" but the phone was already on) and the program launched into action.

The LED came on, then turned green, and the symbol with a card being wiped came onto the Z10 screen. But then sic wipe said "connecting to bootrom" again and just sat there, as did the phone. After awhile I unplugged the phone as the led was off and nothing was happening.

So now I have a Z10 that will only display the disk with the circle on it that it displays during security wipes, and I have sic wipe which doesn't acknowledge the phone, and I have the autoloader, which likewise won't acknowledge the phone.

Any ideas? I screwed the pooch on this, but luckily it's just my backup phone.

I take it all back! It seems that despite my best attempts to screw it up, sic multiwipe functioned perfectly. I think *****-proofing is a sign of quality craftsmanship.

Looking forward to wipe and load for my shiny new Passport.

Glad that you have managed to get hold of one to play with, they still seem to be in very short supply !!!

It's good to back amongst the BL Boys, I was missing you guys when you all went BB10 when I stuck with the Bold.

Thanks for all your hard work for us.

Does your PC detect your phone? If yes you can try this method; turn your device off, connect your phone, run SIC and then turn your device on...
