I'd updated my 'classic' with 10.3.2.2339 OS many weeks back & its doing pretty good

    BUT

recently some 2 weeks or so, the Radio 2340 is really playing up ...

swinging from H to E to e to GSM to gsm ...

and often very few bars for the signal strength ...

Now - I also have a Samsung galaxy that I use as my alternate phone

& haven't noticed any such behaviour on the Samsung ...

So, its not the Network playing up BUT

    its the Radio 2340.

WHAT DO I DO TO FIX THIS ??

    Thanks in advance !!

    Or 841.
Remember, if you go beneath the 10.3.2.2xxx mark for another radio, you will loose nfc.
It will not work with radio's like 859 and 841.

    Radio 2339 is terrible ****.
It even locked up my simcard!!

Should switch to 2252 as that was rolled out for the classic by my carrier. 2339 was rolled out for the passport. I had 2339 on my classic but it was terrible so went to 2252 and runs pretty good

    Thanks guys for your inputs.

    I see clearly 2 options :

    1. Move from 10.3.2.2339 to 2252

    2. Move from 10.3.2.2339 to 10.3.2.8XX

I'll try and give a feedback soon.

    Thanks again !!

as per the above, if you go from 2340 to 859/841 you'll lose the NFC capability. i did encounter that when i swapped my 2340 with the 859 on my Passport. I lost NFC, so I had to go back to the 2340 to get the NFC back.

well, seems once you've loaded the 2252 and above, you are NOT advised to go back until the next leak OS comes up, in which, i have no idea when the time will come for that.. i've been waiting for that too, my passport with the 2339 OS has lots of bugs boggling me day to day, OMG!!!

Same here. I had issues on my Z10 with the 2340 radio, went to 859 and much better. I don't use NFC but oddly I don't know how it "doesn't work" I can still toggle mine on and off in the toggles which I thought someone else said they couldn't so maybe that only effects certain phones. That or you can toggle it and it still doesn't actually transmit which I can't really test because I don't have anything else that uses it.

I've been with 2340 radio on my Classic since it's release and haven't had any issue with reception or battery. Weird.

In addition, I went camping during the past weekend with my Classic and a Samsung Galaxy S4 on different network. While most of time, S4 and wife's iPhone 5s on the same network as my Classic's had very weak reception, my Claasic always showed full bar and its battery lasted over 30 hours on single charge.

I'm on .2339 with radio .2340. Several times when i called a land line, the other party said that I am going in and out, or that he is "losing" me and there is "crackling" that she hears even when I could hear her very clearly. And many times, when i call my daughter, she said the same thing although I could hear her very clearly.

Is this due to the radio?

By the way, I blitzed the OS, and this is maybe 3rd OS I blitzed in succession.

I'm using .2339 with the .859 radio. VAST improvement for me as far as signal strength & battery life. Verizon Q10.
