I changed it to my country and carrier. Should I not have done that?
    Definitely not!

The entire idea behind the 'Search' page is that you find Blackberry firmware whitelisted by other carriers.
If you want your carrier, just use the update feature on your own phone.

Blackberry firmware is not special or customised for each carrier (except Verizon). It's all the same and just whitelisted at different times.

Wait that's my question that I started another post for...? xSacha your saying that the firmware on Verizon is different from other firmware?
Could that be the reason I can't change my APN settings on my unlocked Verizon Z10?
My APN settings are not existent the button just isn't there.... have a look.
Sachesi Tutorial: How to install the latest OS as an Update-img_20141006_102822.png

I think Verizon didn't want their Z10 users traveling abroad and they changed the OS so that they would have to be on Verizon's APN...

Do you know if I can install a different Firmware in my Z10.
I was looking through my devices bar files and came across something I think was called sys.verizon.sso and it was sorted as something called VPL and it was the only VPL...
I'm scared to risk it but if I uninstall that bar file will that allow me to change my APN settings?

    Thanks

So the solution for this volume issue is that I've to wait until the official 10.3.1 firmware release.

If you have a Verizon device, you can install *any* firmware on your phone. Verizon or Generic.
In fact, if you have a non-Verizon device, you can install Verizon firmware too.

There is no known benefit to installing the Verizon customised OS/Radios.

So, yes, completely ignore the fact you are with Verizon and just get the generic ones.

I'm on an STL100-4 and I updated to 10.3.0.1154 OTA Using Sachesi. Is i dont think i did anything special to install a Verizon version of it and my APN Button Is still missing?
Did Sachesi automatically download the Verizon version for me and if yes how can I change it to a regular one so I can access my APN settings?

    Thanks

Actually, it may have downloaded the Verizon version if that was what was installed on your phone already.
I make sure that it installs a generic radio but don't check the OS.

If you change the 'Download for' section to 'Z10 QCOM' instead of 'Connected', you'll definitely get generic.

Also I updated to the software release 10.3.0.738 non-destructively through Sachesi? Is there a new OS or will I have to downgrade first and then upgrade again?

Also is it possible to do a Non-destructive downgrade using Sachesi?

    Thanks xSacha

There's no newer non-destructive version than 10.3.0.738 yet.

And yes, you can do a non-destructive downgrade in the same way.

So what country and carrier codes would I put in to downgrade to the most recent OS and then to re upgrade?

None if the options say Z10 QCOM. I'm assuming that Z10(STL100-2/3/4) + P9982 is what I'm looking for correct?

This is awesome! I am sporting 10.3 on my Z30 and it is working great. A few minor things here and there but nothing the official 10.3.1 won't fix. Thanks so much!

Do I have to downgrade back to 10.2.1 first? Or Van I just install the stock firmware over the Verizon one?

    Just install
It might warn you that your OS is different to the one you are installing. If so, I'd like to know what it says your current OS name is. verizon_sfi right?

I'll fix that for next version

I can check in about 5 minutes, but what's different about the 2 OS isn't one just the same with a few things missing?

Boot up image is dependent on the inserted sim card.

Well my Verizon SIM is already out and I still get the bootup image every time. Maybe it's because I'm still on their OS?
Or because the SIM I have in doesn't have its on boot up image so it just keeps using Verizon's because it's all it remembers?

May I ask again what is the model number of your device? (e.g. STA100-3)

I think that Os version is already blacklist by BlackBerry
You won't be able to install it
