Hello. See the attached screenshot. This is what I get, ongoing, when going to the install tab in Sachesi. I have not had problems in the past, so I don't know what is going on now. I'm on a Passport, v1779. Can anyone help?

Try unplugging your Passport and plug it into a different USB port on your computer. If that doesn't work, restart your phone and try again.
Also, if you open BlackBerry Link does it detect your phone or is this limited to Sachesi?

Have you got latest drivers for Link/Blend installed on your computer ?

  4. toddcarson's Avatar
Thanks. Tried all that. Do not have Blend or Link installed and have not needed to in the past. Shouldn't need to, as far as I know.

I thought you had to have link installed for the drivers?

I was under the impression that this was the case as well (that the drivers from Link needed to be installed for Sachesi or other 3rd party tools to work correctly as far as detecting your BlackBerry device)...

I'm looking at the CB Sachesi page right now and it clearly says that Link is not required.

If that is so then do not install Link or if you have done so remove it. After that keep trying Sachesi until it discovers your device. Do this for a week and if it still does not work you can then install Link and see if it works.

Link is not 'required' per se if your pc/ laptop automatically installs the device drivers and mounts the device's internal memory and/ or the sd card (it does in Windows 7/8).

Else you'd need to install the drivers first - choose drivers only option on the Link's installation screen.

I have installed the drivers (only) but same problem... except now it is "seeing" two possible device instead of one and still not actually connecting. See screenshot.

I disabled IPv6 and also turned off wifi on the device, and sachesi worked. I then re-enabled IPV6 and wifi, and it worked again. Go figure. Anyway, thanks all for your help.

    Try this link:
So first you open the device manager from Control Panel. With the device manager open, scroll down to network adapter section.
In my case there was an additional item Blackberry #3? or something similar. Doesnt matter what the name was, the important part is it had an exclamation point on it because the driver wasnt valid. Look for any blackberry related driver with an exclamation through it.

BlackBerry Link Not Recognizing Your Z10? Try This

Now, double click on the exclamation marked BlackBerry Device, go to Drivers tab & click Uninstall. The Last step is very simple. Just click the Scan for hardware Changes button located to the right most of Device Manger icon set (Monitor with magnifying glass). The list gets refreshed & you should now see a BlackBerry Device #x with no exclamation mark. Once found, unplug your BlackBerry Z10 & plug it in back again. Voila! BlackBerry Link will now connect to your phone seamlessly.

    Thanks Harold

Just make sure everything here under USB connection is unchecked otherwise it won't read. I usually have charge only on but that is what causes it to not show up. Hopefully that helps
