I'm running 10.3.2.840 on my Passport, which has suddenly started double typing. This is pretty annoying so I tried to load the latest leak, but my Passport won't stay connected to Sachesi long enough to load it. Never had this problem before. It will connect fine but then will boot off at random intervals. And once it boots off Sachesi just freezes.

Anyone else see this and or have a solution?

I have the same problem with Sachesi, it often disconnects. Try Darcy's BlackBerry Tools.

I have that issue on my MacBook Pro, so I use my wife's iMac. No problems with Sachesi and the iMac, so far.

I will try Darcy's method, but Sachesi always worked for me before

Perhaps you had better refresh your device software with an autoloader . . . https://drive.bitcasa.com/send/6tMMp...K2KeGnmvMO4WQ/ .

tried Darcy's tool, but keeps disconnecting from that as well. Also have tried my PC, my laptop and my Surface. All do the same thing...

Please turn on Development Mode, which might solve your problem.

A lot of disconnects are caused by Antivirus. If you have the same AV on all machines chances are a recent update may have caused them all to start disconnecting your phone. Can always try to temporarily disable it and see if that makes a difference.

But still could be many different things. Bad USB cable, or worst case would be bad connector on phone (can usually test that by very gently moving the USB cable while connected and seeing if it connects/disconnects more whole moving the cable)

Have you tried a different cable? I had connection issues with Sachesi and it was the cable. I tried multiple cables, all of which worked to transfer files and worked with hard drives, but failed with Sachesi. I bought a new cable and it worked perfectly, every time. I still use the other cables reliably for other things, but not with Sachesi.

Definitely not my cables, and doesn't seem to be a physical connection issue. Tried disabling Antivirus, but didn't help.

Okay, but that is what I said too. All my cables worked for everything else, still do, but a brand new cable solved my problem.

Do you have the radios turned off? Just brainstorming. It shouldn't matter, but worth a shot.

Well, it was worth a shot, but turning off radios didn't help either. I now see that my device is disconnecting every 15 seconds or so, then immediately reconnecting. Changed the topic title since the problem seems ot have nothing to do with Sachesi (or Darcy's)... it does it with Link as well.

I tried tracking this down several months ago and it seemed to have something to do with USB 3.0 ports. That being said, to this day I have never been able to keep a connection to my Z30 using Sachesi and my Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1. If I ever want to update the Z30, I fall back to my trusty old Windows 7 laptop.

That's too bad. I have been considering one. I'll have to read more about this issue. Of course it may be fixed by the time I get around to buying one.

Yes it is. The workaround is to use USB hub

I tried using a USB 2.0 Hub plugged into the USB 3.0 port but it didn't make a difference. For what it's worth, the disconnection also happens without using Sachesi. Just trying to copy a file using the "Windows File Explorer" from the mapped drives of the Z30 will eventually "time out".

I don't think it is as much a Surface Pro thing as maybe a Windows 8.1 or a USB 3.0 issue.

For what ots worth I bave had trouble with Sachesi randomly dropping off as well. But I have found that it only does it when I have Skype Desktop running. If I try to do an OS update on my phone with Skype running on PC it always fails before completion. I can sign out of Skype, rerun Sachesi and it will work fine. Thought it was maybe just a coincidence, but after more testing and loading many, many leaks I can say that Skype running causes Sachesi to fail.

So, I did a complete wipe and autoloader the latest link. The disconnecting was much better than before, but still happens. Not just in Sachesi but in general. Tried different cables too to no avail...
