Well not sure if it had been covered, this tread is just too long. My Z10 running 10.3.0.1130 does not want to connect to Sachesi. It connects no problem to the newest version of Link. I tried different versions of Sachesi (1.2.1,- 1.5.0.1, and the newest 1.6.1) all just come with Searching for USB device. My computer is WIN 7 64bit.and the phone storage is correctly mapped as drives Z and Y as usual. The last time I used Sachesi was to install 1130 onto my phone. Any idea what is happening?
One thing I might add is that after installing 1130 I never used version 1.5.0.2 again. Today I found out about the new version 1.6.1 and downloaded and tried to run it. It did not work. I tried then all other versions of Sachesi which had previously worked and all came with the same message "Searching for USB device" and did not connect.
I wonder if version 1.6.1 changed anything on the computer that prevents the other versions to function?

Using OSX 10.9.5 and latest 1.6.1 and I too keep getting the "Searching for USB device" while latest BB Link finds it instantly. Tried other versions of sachesi and same result. Tried the usual reinstall sachesi, restart osx etc.

The only change is I made it use protocol version 3 instead of 1 (which is essentially the same).
Can you confirm that 1.5.0.2 or 1.6.0 allows connection but 1.6.1 does not?
Is everyone with this issue on 1130?

If it's stuck at 'Searching for USB device', does it tell you it is talking to potential devices?

My device is on 1052 and 700 and functions correctly in Windows, Linux and OSX right now on all versions. I haven't tested 1130.

And something is strange. OS says radio is 1155, but in the list of apps, the radio is 1053. The bottom of the app has an empty radio...
The OS in list of apps is directly reported from the device as your installed radio application (maybe inaccurate as Radio does not necessarily need to be an app?).
At the bottom of the app, this radio version is reported by device on the intial contact (should be accurate?).

Which radio does your device really use? Your device reports three different versions, just wondering which one is more accurate.

1.2.1 as well as 1.5.02 used to work a few days ago. after running 1.6.1 unsuccessfully none of the versions run anymore. I saw "talking to a potential device " once, but even that does not appear anymore. Radio version is 1.3.0.1131

    For me its hybrid:
    10.3.0.1052 debrik
    10.3.0.1130 core
    10.3.0.1131 radio
    10.3.0.1154 bar files

Never seen the "talking to a potential device" Just churns on the "Searching for USB device". I do have a password set within sachesi.

In the 'Detected devices:' section I have
    "Blackberry USB (Windows)"
I am running this on OSX 10.9.5

    "Blackberry USB (Unix)"

I disabled WIFI in Link and restarted the computer. Now I see "talking to 1 potential devices" but its stuck there. What I also noticed that the BB Device Manager failed to map the phone memory as drives. Also Link does not have access to the phone now. Link says device is connected. but also "Can not communicate with the Device"
I try to reinstall the phone driver and will report back.

Using 1.6.1 I can connect and get the currently installed app list fine.

When I try to install a bar file, sachesi.exe goes to 25% cpu (4 cores) and hangs indefinitely. 1.6
0 works flawlessly. If you have pdbs for 1.6.1 I should be able to repro and debug a bit deeper with windbg.

Alright, as Dtrace reported a little while ago, the problem is not with Sachesi, but with the phone settings. in the phone System Settings go to Storage and Access and change USB Connection to in my case "Connect to Windows" from the default setting "Autodetect" and all is fine. This seems to be a serious BB bug. Anyways it works now.
I appreciate all the good work you are doing for the community.
    Thanks

I have a problem on the backup portion of the newer versions of Sachesi (1.6.0 and 1.6.1). After i click on the load backup options, it takes a about 30 seconds to load up the three options after that all that is showing now are the three check boxes, beside the boxes are nothing (where it use to have Application Data, Media and Device Settings). The funny thing is, if i check the boxes and hit backup, it does do the backup, and judging by the size of the backup it is doing a complete backup. Am i missing something on my computer that might correct this, or is this a problem with sachesi and my windows version. Running Win 7 Premium x64, i have tested back up with my z30 running OS 10.3.0.1130 and OS 10.3.0.1154.
I'm having a similar issue, nothing shows up after clicking "load backup options". I've tried 4 different versions (1.6.1.1, 1.6.0, 1.5.0.2 problem free version and 1.2.1) and they all do the same thing, no backup options. Device connects fine, shows current installed OS at the bottom but backup options just don't show up. Windows 8.1, Z30.

well its interesting that in version 10.3.0.1154 that I just now installed with sachesi 1.5.0.2, the same problem still exists. The default USB setting "autodedect" also does not connect. It needs to be changed to connect to windows or connect to MAC respectively and it works.

They may have broken autodetect in 10.3. It has happened before in a beta version of 10.2, I recall.

The good news is that 'Connect to Windows' appears to work in Linux (as well as 'Connect to Mac') now. Also, 'Connect to Windows' appears to work without Link installed on Windows (not sure if this has always been the case). It seems like they changed some things.

Is that also with 1130? It might be a new backup API.
I'll have to install this OS.

I'm also having the problem with 1.6.1 where it will read the list of apps, but trying to install, sachesi goes to using 25% cpu.

    1.6.0 works fine.

Thanks. Looks like some Windows-specific glitch there. Will pull the link until it is fixed.

Wow! So it turns out this was all from a dodgy zlib (zip library) on Windows.
It was affecting Restore (for how long?!) as well as Install (since 1.6.1.1, so only this version).

Reuploaded 1.6.1.1 for Windows with latest zlib and all good now.

Great job on the fix for windows. The issue that i was having with the backup listings beside the check boxes not showing up has also been corrected with this fix. Using 10.3.0.1154. I have my phone set to Auto detect, under storage and access and backup is working.

    On 10.3.0.1154
Connects fine, but either my OS is confused or Sachesi is not returning the correct info...

    • OS says 1154 is installed and even shows the proper release version and radio 1155.
    • The bottom bar shows 1052/1155
    • The list of apps show 1052/1053
    • On disk os.version is 1154

I'm wondering if those 2 old bars are not protected or if it's doing something with the DAC.

Downloaded 1.6.1.1 and tested on Windows 8.1 64-bit and it crashes immediately when running. 1.6.1 crashes also but 1.6.0 works and previous versions.

    The crash is interesting.
Was that the MSVC2013 version or the normal version?

I mean there is two versions of 1.6.1.1 I have posted up for testing.
Normal one (thought to be working fine): https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/re....1-Windows.zip
    MSVC2013 experiment: https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/re...inMSVC2013.zip

You tried both I guess? :\ Difficult to work out why it crashes but I will try.
    Thanks.

Tried the normal one - failed. Downloaded and tested the MSVC2013 version and it indicates that MSVCR120.dll is missing but it is in the System32 folder.

It's a Windows error -- Windows thinks it can't find that file. Try putting that DLL in the same directory as Sachesi.

Copied DLL to directory and get error - the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.
