What does the Sachesi APK and Sachesi Bar files do? Are they for installing on device? What purpose would that serve?

I know what Sachesi does, been using it to load none destructively and bar files for ever on my computer. Just wondering why I would want to load the Sachesi APK and Sachesi Bar files listed on the download page.

    Thanks.

So how could you turn this into an non destructive upgrade folder? I tried some things with Sachesi, but could not get it to make that folder.
Would you please refer to post # 10768743 ?

For Z30, for instance, please put the following files in a single directory and install them altogether with Sachesi.

    ----------

    qc8960.wtr5-10.3.0.1053-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar (radio)

    qc8960.factory_sfi-10.3.0.1052-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar (core OS)

all .bar app files extracted with Sachesi from qc8960.factory_sfi.desktop-10.3.0.1052-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar (debrick OS in which core OS and app files are bound)

Introducing Sachesi. The results of my continued work on firmware tools for Blackberry 10 and Playbook.

Sachesi allows you to extract, search for and (un)install Blackberry firmware. It also allows you to backup, restore, wipe, reboot and nuke. This is a continued evolution of the original Sachup and Sachibar applications.
None of its activities require development mode. That is, you can sideload and uninstall applications without developer mode.

Hi Xsacha! Hope you are doing well. I've been trying to download the newest version 1.4 but when I go to open it (windows fix version) it says the Q5Core.dll file is missing. Am I doing this wrong all of a sudden. I've downloaded every version you have had over the years. Thanks for any help you can give me.
UPdate------tried loading with Opera and thought it worked but now shows same error message. It did work once out of about 10 attempts to run it. Lost as usual.

Got same message on my windows 7. Then I double clicked on Sachesi 1.4 zip folder an extracted again sashesi opens and recognize device but crashes upon starting installation. BTW upon extraction a lot of files are extracted with the execute application do we need to keep those files for it to work? On Other versions only the execute application was extracted.

The author has said that he is kindly working to create an .exe file which functions without all the other files contained in Sachesi-1.4.0-Windows-Fixed.zip .

In the meantime, we have to keep all files listed below in a folder and a sub-folder ( \platforms ) in order to invoke from such folder the Version 1.4.0 Sachesi.exe for Windows.

So for the Android APK, you can technically do everything you can do on Windows/Linux/OSX but on your Android device (phone/tablet/netbook). There are a few 'gotchas' which means that you will likely need root or a custom firmware to actually update firmware and apps via usb. Basically, by default, Android doesn't put the Blackberry device on a usbnet driver so you have to have a device that supports usbnet. All other functions work with a normal un-rooted device.

For the Blackberry .BAR, you have searching and downloading of firmware. Just no installing.

    That's a TimeOut Error.
The device isn't responding or just took too long to reply.

Does the Android version run on BB10?

Hmm. Works fine under Windows. It worked before I upgraded to 10.3.0.1052 as well.

Must be an Arch Linux thing.

Make sure your device is set to 'Mac' connection mode in Settings-> Storage and Access.

    'Auto' has never worked.

Install Qt4 through your distro. Then run this: https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/re...xQt4.8.tar.bz2

Here is 1.2.1 (Whenever 1.4.0 fails, this version has worked for me) https://mega.co.nz/#!Z0dHVYCZ!O8sX0o...hlFwY_4ESfmvjw

I keep getting to 5-10% then getting the error:

    Communication Error: Connection Timed Out
On the thread regarding that OS, it seems that most people have had success using Sachesi 1.2.1 for loading that core.

Sacha, there seems to be some connection issues with 1.4.0. Never ever had an issue before pre 1.4.0, so I'm not fully sure what the problem is. It would **** out in the middle of loading...
    08-28-14 11:17 PM
  23. masterscarhead1's Avatar
Yup, tried multiple times. 1.2.1 works perfectly fine. 1.4.0 would freak out when loading core OS (or sometimes even radio)
As much as I like the update, it really introduced many bugs. Sacha, what did you change in terms of connection?

Finally gave up for the night. I've tried every suggestion I could find on here. Just will not connect to device. Just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning.

It's going to sucks royally if I have to wait for auto loaders to update. Just doesn't make since, it worked before the latest 10.3.0.1052 leak.

I've always used Sachesi for bar files. I had to use Chrome to load snap the other night because of this issue..

Only thing I have not tried is to roll back to 10.2 and see if it will connect then.

I can't get Sachesi 1.2.1 to ever see my z10. Using Sachesi 1.4.0, I'm getting the communication timeout error, when trying to install this updated os, on to my 1052 phone.
