When I launch the Windows app, I get message, "Sachesi 1.3.1.exe is not a valid Win32 application." I am running WinXP. Version 1.2.1 is the newest that works on my WinXP.
Update: Sachesi version 1.2.3 now works on my WinXP laptop, after I installed Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 on it.

OK, I have fixed many bugs in the latest version (1.4.0).
I will also fix this Windows issue (hopefully).

When I launch the Windows 1.4.0 app, I get message, "The procedure entry point GetTickCount64 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll." I am running WinXP.

My WinXP already has later versions of msvcp110.dll and msvcr110.dll, so I disregarded the respective files that the 1.4.0.zip contains.

Sachesi version 1.2.3 is the newest version that works on my WinXP. All higher versions will not run on my WinXP.

Regret to inform that neither version of 1.4.0 will run properly on any of my Win7 64 computers. However, 1.2.1 continues to soldier on.

    Thanks Sacha.

Well, you know, same here. I don't know how to fix it either
I guess install an older Visual Studio (that I used for 1.2.1) is the only solution?

I'm making a new version for Windows, without MSVC.
I am pleased to inform you that I have found a solution for the Sachesi-1.4.0-Windows-MingW version of Sachesi.exe .

I have installed qt-opensource-windows-x86-1.6.0-4-online.exe (http://qt-project.org/downloads) on my Windows 7 (32 bit) PC and copied

    C:\Qt\5.3\mingw482_32\plugins\platforms> DIR

    Directory of C:\Qt\5.3\mingw482_32\plugins\platforms

    2014/06/19 20:05 30,208 qminimal.dll
    2014/06/19 20:05 726,263 qminimald.dll
    2014/06/19 20:06 556,032 qoffscreen.dll
    2014/06/19 20:07 4,067,373 qoffscreend.dll
    2014/06/19 20:08 1,276,416 qwindows.dll
    2014/06/19 20:09 16,100,764 qwindowsd.dll

(which are zipped into platforms.zip and stored at https://mega.co.nz/#!IUwWSLoK!EsHdge...bCc2SnGtNeeHIQ) to

    C:\BlackBerry\Sachesi-1.4.0-Windows-MingW\platforms> DIR

    Directory of C:\BlackBerry\Sachesi-1.4.0-Windows-MingW\platforms

    2014/06/19 20:05 30,208 qminimal.dll
    2014/06/19 20:05 726,263 qminimald.dll
    2014/06/19 20:06 556,032 qoffscreen.dll
    2014/06/19 20:07 4,067,373 qoffscreend.dll
    2014/06/19 20:08 1,276,416 qwindows.dll
    2014/06/19 20:09 16,100,764 qwindowsd.dll

. (I do not believe that all six .dll files are required . . . but I have not yet confirmed which .dll file is required.) Then Sachesi.exe has become operational and it even runs on a good old PC operating with Windows XP (32 bit).

Sachesi: Firmware Extractor, Searcher and Installer-sachesi-1.4.0.png

Sachesi: Firmware Extractor, Searcher and Installer-sachesi-1.4.0_versionlookup.png

    P.S.

The Grab Links button has failed to generate updates.txt and versionlookup.txt on my desktop PC driven by Windows 7 (32 bit) due to an inappropriate local permission given to \Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ where updates.txt and versionlookup.txt are created (Sachesi.exe - up to Version 1.2.3 - used to create such files in the directory where Sachesi.exe is stored), which I have already corrected. Elsewhere the button works beautifully in Windows XP (32 bit), Windows 7 (32 bit), and Windows 8.1 (64 bit) so far as I have tested.

I am go back to 1.4.0 and the Button is not so important for me...Download and Install the Software with 1.4.0 ist fine and no Problems!!
FYI, hold down CTRL, Shift or Alt key + PrntScr key to take screenshots of different focus. So instead of capturing your big desktop and small Sachesi screen, you can capture JUST the sachesi screen, and it will be bigger.

You should be able to unzip the file with other pieces of software, for instance, 7-Zip, I suppose.

Thank you very much . . . this is to confirm that Sachesi-1.4.0-Windows-Fixed.zip can be unzipped without 7-Zip.

Corrected and the new Windows-fixed version is now uploaded! Hope this works for everyone.
The modified Sachesi.exe works perfectly on Windows XP (32 bit) (HOMEPATH=\Documents and Settings\USERNAME), Windows 7 (32 bit) (HOMEPATH=\Users\USERNAME), and Windows 8.1 (64 bit) (HOMEPATH=\Users\USERNAME) so long as I have tested.

updates.txt and versionlookup.txt are created in \Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ with Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, while with Windows XP they are created in a directory one level above the directory where Sachesi.exe is located. (Please note that \Users\USERNAME\Desktop\ does not exist in Windows XP.)

Would like to report, it is working fine for searching OS but keep looping at 0% when splitting bar file.

It stays at 0% process and the created signed file can't be used.

Hmm . . . may I ask about your platform (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 - 32 bit or 64 bit)?

I have successfully extracted 199 .bar app files (.bar app files only - the core OS .bar file is not extracted) from qcfm.image.com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.qc8960.factory_s fi.desktop.BB10_3_0.1052.756527.signed (which has been unzipped from http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar) on Windows XP (32 bit), Windows 7 (32 bit), and Windows 8.1 (64 bit).

    P.S.

Are you trying to split an autoloading .exe file (autoloader) into an OS .signed file and a Radio .signed file? (I have successfully splitted Autoload-STA100-3-10.3.0.700.exe into Autoload-STA100-3-10.3.0.700-OS.1.signed and Autoload-STA100-3-10.3.0.700-Radio.0.signed.)

Or are you trying to combine .signed files into an autoloading .exe file (autoloader)? (I have successfully combined qcfm.image.com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.qc8960.factory_s fi.desktop.BB10_3_0.1052.756527.signed (which has been unzipped from http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar) and qcfm.image.com.qnx.qcfm.radio.qc8960.wtr5.BB10_3_0 .1053.756527.signed (which has been unzipped from http://cdn.fs.sl.blackberry.com/fs/q...-v7+signed.bar) into Autoloader-qcfm.exe.)

I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64bit, what I meant with splitting here is extracting the OS/Radio bar file into a signed file. I tried with the 1052 OS bar file downloaded from sachesi link and it loop at 0%. I know I can use winrar or 7zip to extract the signed file from it but usually can use Sachesi for this.

The author of Sachesi.exe will soon correct if I am wrong . . . I do not believe that Sachesi.exe is designed to convert signed.bar files into .signed files.

It is designed to SPLIT an autoloader into .signed files and to COMBINE .signed files into an autoloader. Sachesi.exe can also EXTRACT .bar app files from a debrick OS .signed file.

Sachesi does have that ability, I'm using it because I think it create more accurate extracted signed.rar to .signed file compared to other decompress file such as winrar/winzip because it is using Cap.exe (updated) to extracting it.

as far as I know, Winrar and 7zip can extract the signed.bar files directly to get the .signed file without the need to renaming it to .zip. As I mention earler, most of the time some people like me like to use Cap.exe either from Sachesi or Darcy to get the .signed files.

Sachesi doesn't use cap.exe for anything. It just extracts it manually. For the .bar, it's technically the same as using winzip or something else -- in fact, it's likely very similar code.
Sachesi doesn't come with cap.exe but will download when required (combining files in to an autloader). That is, it copies it in front of the OS and Radio file to form Autoloader.exe.

I will track down that 0% issue. Thanks for report.

You had better wait until BlackBerry Limited officially releases, for instance, Software Release 10.3.0.675 (OS 10.3.0.1052 and Radio 10.3.0.1053) in order to obtain signed.bar app files.

If you cannot wait, please install the core OS signed.bar file and the Radio signed.bar file first. And then please install all .bar app files which are extracted from the debrick OS signed.bar file . . . although I do not recommend such fragmented installation.
