Anyone else get a crash on 1.2.3/Windows if you just open Sachesi and leave it there for a minute or so?

    Posted via CB10
So far not if I just leave it run but in my case, if I click on "Search" or Version Lookup then "Lookup" it crashes. Granted I don't think I have the proper visual c+ libraries installed on this laptop...

Can't get it to open at all on Windows 7 32-bit. Whether the device is plugged in or not. 1.2.1 is still working fine, though.

Don't know why any Sachesi version I try doesn't do anything when I click download. It worked before..
I sideloaded bar version on my Z30 and works, but where exactly does it download the files to?

Version 1.2.3 pools away just the same way 1.2.2 did on my Win7 Ultimate 64bit machine. I put in the credentials in the search and as soon as I hit search it goes away.

Thanks for the info. I'll track down these crashes!

Edit: I haven't been able to reproduce these crashes on any computer. So it's likely a mismatched library rather than a problem in the code. If it happens when searching, that would be OpenSSL I suppose.

While it should technically be able to, it's not designed to. There is a native Blackberry 10 version instead. I didn't release one for 1.2.3 only because Blackberry's signing server was down all day.

No such crash on my WinXP machine, even after Sachesi ran five minutes. Also, Sachesi did not crash after I plugged my Z10 to the laptop's USB. FWIW, these Sachesi functions (the only ones I tried) work OK: Search, Grab Links, Verfsion Lookup, Download All.

Since I can't reproduce, are you able to compile Sachesi in debug mode and then wait for the crash and tell me where it crashed?
    Thanks!

Funny enough, the bug decided to go away. Left it on overnight, nothing.

Worst kind of bugs Ones you can't reproduce. Never know when they'll creep up on you.

Since Blackberry's signing server is back up, just put up v1.2.3 for Blackberry.

    Absolutely, worst kind !!
Overall I've had very few problems running Sachesi on my Win7 laptop, however on my Win8.1 machine it's a completely different story. Although sometime it works, it's truly hit and miss. Great program nonetheless and many thanks for taking the initiative !!

A little late to the 1.2.3 party but I thought I'd throw in my 2-cents: I just opened it on my Windows 7 64-bit desktop, and it's downloading OS: 10.2.1.3175 right now. No issues, no crashing, no errors.

The only thing I noticed is that the Cancel button doesn't work. I was thinking maybe I'd do the download tomorrow instead (no rush to install .3175 here anyway) so I clicked Cancel after the first 7 or 8 bar files were downloaded. Nothing happened. Clicked Cancel again. Nada. It's now on the 30th bar file, so I'm going to let it complete the download while I'm sleeping (2:20am here, gahhhh).

If I have my z10 plugged into my win 7 x64 laptop and double click on sachesi, I see the circle turn, then back to pointer for mouse and sachesi never opens up. If I disconnect my phone and start sachesi, it opens up correctly, but when I plug in my phone, sachesi closes when the pc starts to acknowledge the phone us connected.

Is there a way to turn on debugging to collect information for you?

Both 1.2.2 and 1.2.3 were crashing after a minute or so on Win7 x64. However, after the usual MS Win7 update on Tuesday, no more crashing. Coincidence?

Thanks, that helped find the crash.
Although, this crash would only occur on an error (that is, for eg., the device closed the connection or disconnected).

Sticking with version 1.2.1 for now. Thanks xsacha.

I got the same problem when using Sachesi 1.2.3 on my laptop ( Windows 7 64bit)
And I found an interesting thing is once I plugged my Z10, the Sachesi will works fine......So it may means that we might encount this crash only if we run this application without plugging our device?

I am using the same Windows version, and Sachesi 1.2.3 ran fine here, whether or not my phone was plugged in. There must be something else going on - some other difference in our OS settings or something.
