Well - I tried this non-destructive method of update on my Z10 today. I downloaded the latest OS files for USA, AT&T and STL100-3 version. Everything seemed to work well but the phone stalled at 100% on restarting and been sitting on the boot screen showing BB Logo (or 100%) since. Tried doing a reset by holding down the top button. Still stuck at the 100% mark. Then tried the hard reset by holding down the up & down volume buttons but still the same issue.

Finally downloaded the files for the 10.2.1.2228 version for T-Mobile thinking that this might work - but no such luck as Sachesi tool is unable to see my Z10 on the USB connection properly. On the search screen it is able to read my phone variant but on the install screen it is not able to get a consistent & writable USB connection I guess.

So - it's back to using the auto-loader - which is exactly what I had hoped to avoid in the first place

Right now downloaded the Autoloader for T-Mobile 10.2.1.2228 OS version.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Sridhara-syama dasa
This the exact same thing that happened to me. I finally had to do a factory reset via Link then used an autoloader to install 2141.

At the time my Q10 was T-Mobile locked, if that's pertinent.

So just got notification for 2122, but I already have 2141 from Sachesi? I was told that I would only get notifications for OS later than what I already have?? Should I still download?

I think that is a software update not a operating system update...

    I just completed the update
    used to have
    software 10.2.1.2102
    OS 10.2.1.2141

    and now I have
    software 10.2.1.2122
    OS 10.2.1.2174

Just curious, since the files that Sachsi grabs are bar files, should one be able to use the Chrome extension to load them onto the phone? Or am i missing something?

    Do you have Qt 4.8.5?
I made sure to download and install when the prompt came up. I tried unzipping the file for Sachesi, but..I'm not sure what's going on. I'll attach pics in the next reply.

For Verizon Q10 users who did not get the OTA update and are still running an older version of 10.2, or even 10.1, here are the Sachesi settings:

    Country: 311
    Carrier 480
    Device: Q10
    Variant: SQN 100-2

These will get you to Software Update 10.2.1.2122, OS 10.2.1.2174 + Radio: 10.2.1.2175

Note that this is slightly older than the recent TMobile update, so if you already installed the TMobile files from the other day via Sachesi or autoloader, you needn't do this Verizon update - in fact you'll be told you already have the latest software, if you check. And amazingly... this time you really do. :-)

So I went ahead and tried it. Got a "500 error" trying to load the OS bar. All other bars loaded fine.

When drag and dropping multiple bar files from Dolphin file manager to Sachesi, it usually crashes with a floating point exception or drops an error for me (file is not a zip file). Using Linux Mint KDE 16. The folder and .bar button work fine.

    No. P9982 should use STL100-2/3, not STL100-1.

You are confusing Software Release version with OS version again.

2122 is the Software release version. It correlates to OS version 10.2.1.2174. As you can see it is actually newer than the 10.2.1.2141 that you are running.

When a device or BlackBerry Link provides an update notification, it will display the Software Release version, not the OS version. This is because these official updates are defined by the entire bundle of Core OS, Radio firmware, and bundled apps. You can convert a Software Release version to OS version by using Sachesi's Search/Version Lookup feature. (Actually it converts OS version to Software Release version, but you can do this by trial-and-error to go the other way)

I did do a full backup via Link before trying to install via Sachesi. If I try to restore via Link what will happen? Will I still lose all my settings & Android apps and data ?
If you restore via Link or Sachesi, it will restore your apps downloaded from BlackBerry World, theoretically your Android app data, but NOT your Android apps.

In theory, if you do a restore (theoretically restoring your Android app data), then after you re-install the same version of Android apps you previously had, they should inherit the previously-restored data. This is NOT guaranteed to work however, as it is outside of the native app mechanisms.

How do you use the bb10 app?
It is limited. You can search for OS builds and you can download the files. But you cannot install them or use it to upgrade the device, because it is running on the device that would have been the target for the upgrade.

You can install any BAR files using the Chrome extension with the exception of the OS and radio files to do an actual OS upgrade.

Just to add, for anyone who hasn't done this yet -- in your device, you can go to Settings>>About>>OS and you will see the versions you are running of everything: OS, Software release, and Radio. Makes it easy to compare apples to apples, etc.

You are confusing Software Release version with OS version again.

    Hello Everyone,

With Sachesi 1.1.1 is it possible to download Upgrade/Debrick BAR's for PlayBook 4G LTE using Canada's MCC's. I can't seemed to get one using 302/220 (Telus).
