Is there a temp directory it stores the OS and radio in?
Yes. Off memory it was, %APPDATA%\..\Local\Research In Motion\
in a folder named 'Loader' or something.

Do you know what the radio file is called?

    Example, the OS is called

    com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.factory.desktop

    What are radios called?

Q10s can use any Q10 update, so you're not locked into SQN100-4-only updates.

So 234/015/SQN100-3 should get you the latest 10.2.0.1803.

Hi Guys - Need advice: I have T-Mobile US version of BB z10(STL100-3) I looked through the tool and saw that under T-Mobile there is no 10.2...update yet. Another option was Rogers Canada which did have the newest update.
    1) So the question is - if I get an update from Rogers, will the firmware be branded and will have Rogers logo at start up and some of its apps on the phone?
    2) Is there an unbranded firmware that I can search for in the tool?
I know that on Blackberry's website store, people can by an unlocked phone. Will it be possible to find that kind of firmware?

    Thanks

So even if I installed Roger update, and my carrier is T-Mobile, then the future updates will still be carrier dependent?

Yes when t-mobile releases his update you will receive the notification to updated OTA, it will only be a small update for the carrier specific bars.

Thanks! This is what I did, but have not removed my sim card: I got Rogers/Canada update using the tool and I tried to do the upgrade method. What it did is left T-Mobile's logo at start up, its apps, with an addition of couple of rogers apps and the software release ver. stayed the same, but OS version was updated. I have also tried to do "debrick" method to do the full upgrade, but after it was done, my device never restarted and everything was left untouched. I can try again and with that said, I am leaning towards to trying autoloader 10.2.1.1055. Any suggestions on how to do full OS update, even if it is destructive?

Vodafone UK (235/14) was the one I used no APP where installed. But you can remove the extra APPS with Sachesi and is OK. 10.2.1 uses autoloader and is destructive you can make a backup and restore with Sachesi but most of the troubles on the new OS that people are getting are due to restores I recommend to start fresh and backup with contacts emex app or IntouchAPP Contacts.
    Steps I recommend
    1. Do a security wipe
    2. Place in airplain mode
    3. Remove sim card and SD card
    4. Run autoloader
    5. Connect the phone (make sure I'ts fully charged)
    5. Let it do it's magic
    6. Some people due a security wipe after installing but some are getting troubles of getting the APN setting erased and need to set them manualy.
    7. Complete settings and accounts
    8. Insert sim card and SD card
    9. Restore contacts

For 1.1.3/1.2/whatever, Z5 should be changed to P'9982.

Also, would it be possible to have a link generator within the app? For example, were I to check 202/001/STL100-1 right about now, I get 10.2.0.1809 for STL100-1. The app has the scrambled eggs hash in the URL, plus the OS and radio versions, so it should be able to generate the corresponding links for other devices via a find and replace without having to do it manually or wait for another carrier to release that given version for the other devices.

I have a question : my BlackBerry Maps up won't open anymore. It crashes upon start. BlackBerry World keeps insisting to install an update for it and it never installs apparently.
Could I use Sachesi and remove it and put it back on?
If yes, what file am I looking for in the list?

Well all it needs is the OS version and it can perform a SR lookup, generate the hash and all the links. Doesn't even need to be released
So, yes, I can add that

    Sorry reposting from another thread.

Was wondering why your tool doesn't include STA 100-6, I know it doesn't matter but does that mean if a carrier pushes a STA 100-2 update it will also push automatically to the the STA 100-6 and if one has a STA 100-2 and the carriers push a STA 100-6 update (in South Africa) will it push automatically to the STA 100-2.

As was mentioned it seems it's a renumbered -2, so will the servers differentiate the phones as being different or not?

Why I want to know is because I'm thinking of getting the STA 100-2 as opposed to the STA 100-6 if this is the case.
