What is the easiest way to use this tool to upgrade leaked OS's. What I have been doing so far is extracting all apps to a folder, then installing all the extracted apps to the phone. This is extremely slow, and I notice that most of the files aren't changed. Is there a way to tell it only install the new files? What about installing directly from an exe? I have seen in this thread that dragging an .exe onto the install tab should do the trick, but when I do this, it jumps to the Log tab, but nothing else happens. It doesn't copy the files over like when I drag an app folder onto it.

Also sys.dxtg.launcher.bar always fails at 50%? is this normal?

If you want just the updated files, compare the two autoloaders with Darcy's BlackBerry Tools and extract only the new files.

    Hey xsacha,

I've been trying to request 4G PlayBook updates using Sachesi 1.0 using the MCC/MNC of Rogers and Bell Canada, both of which have been reported to have 2.1.0.1526 available. However it tells me no updates. Any ideas?

Playbook's still don't use CSE. Only BB10 does.

    I got a blackberry Q5 SQR 100-1 from Canada.
I'm going to use it on T-Mobile - USA.
    Currently have OS 10.1.
Can I get an official T-Mobile update using your program?
    What are the risks?
What should I do / not do?
What does the term "bricking your device" mean?

Yes, you can get an official T-Mobile update using this program. You would get the same update by simply inserting a T-Mobile SIM. However, I recommend using a non-T-Mobile update as it would most likely be newer (and there are no real differences between carrier and firmware).
    No known risks.
Upgrade to a 10.2 leak would be advised as it is much more stable, much faster and has crazy battery life.
In terms of Blackberry 10, it usually refers to a soft brick where you just need to load new firmware on to the phone to get it working again.

You can try extracting all the bar files and dropping them into Sachesi.

Aren't these only updating the applications but not the core OS?

Yes. You can't upgrade OS non-destructively with an autoloader.

    Sacha's Extractor Searcher Installer.

It was originally an internal tool only :P Unlike Dingleberry.

Not sure. It takes a few seconds. Are the functions in the Install tab working?

xsacha: Whenever I check for updates using Sachesi it always seems to show 10.1.0.4633, if I check using Darcy's BB Tools (or the older Sachup) using the same MCC/MNC it shows the latest release (example: Sachesi shows 10.1.0.4633 for MCC/MNC 302/270, STL100-3 -- DBB and Sachup shows 10.1.0.4654).

    1. How big is the .bbb file?
    2. Can you restore it using Link? Or is this a non-Windows OS?
    3. Is that the entire error message? "Cannot restore backup"?

Mmm, I have seen problems with some users on files that are >4GB. If you desperately need this backup, try opening it in 7-zip and modifying the manifest file so that it is compatible with Link. It is probably missing a value (due to Install data not being populated).

Pastebin the manifest from the .bbb file (opened with 7-zip) and I'll show you how to fix it for Link.

    Just uploaded version 1.1
    * Limit backups to 4GB
    * Fix version lookup to use hex
    * Update default version for version lookup (1791 is latest)

Its fine, pretty much all of my photos and music I had on a previous backup luckily, started from scratch with applications. It was needed though, phone was getting full
