    Another small update.

IP addresses are no longer required. Choose whatever USB IP you want on your phone.

Developer mode is no longer required. You can do everything without developer mode turned on!

Small update? I would call that a big update.

Wow! That's awesome. I think you are the first known person to achieve this. Because as far as I know, all the sideloading tools and methods I have come across requires Development mode enabled before sideloading is possible. Great achievement man. Thanks for always sharing your awesome tools.

Thanks. There's no other app that uses this sideloading method by the way. This method requires USB though.
I can add in the regular sideloading method that allows WiFi later but firmware installations and backup/restores require USB to work so it's not that important for me.
While looking at the code, it appears the backup process is easily confused about whether USB is connected. It doesn't seem to care if the current connection is via USB -- rather just that there is a USB connection.

    TODO List (before Beta):
    * Fix bug in Backup/Restore where connection times out (and remove 'Coming Soon' monicker)
    * Add 'Bootrom' page. All communication with bootrom including: WIPE, LOAD, NUKE, RESETQNXOSREGION and undocumented commands for all Playbook and Blackberry10 devices.

I suppose it is possible to automate the procedure. It would need to know your debug token though AFAIK.

What good could possibly come from releasing that?
I hope you reconsider releasing this.

I will make sure paid apps aren't possible. The intention is to allow people to grab the .bar files as a means of backup, modification or inspection.

I am making an apps section. See:

    Alpha 6 now available.

I'm glad paid apps won't be downloadable, that very much helps, although it still opens up the source code to any freemium or proprietary free apps.

looks great, xsacha, but when I launch Sachesi, it can't seem to find my Z10 through the USB connection, whether I have a pw on or not. BB Device Manager and Win7 sees the Z10.

    New version released.

Backup feature is complete. Tested it quite a lot.

    Connectivity issue fixed for installer.

Added 'Server' option back. Added ability for RIM employees to download latest firmware (10.2.0.720). Please leak it for us now

    This versions UI went 'grayscale'.

That error is returned if you are trying to download Beta firmware and are not using RIM VPN.
That is, it means the server told you that you aren't allowed to download that file.

I know, but it looks like their software people weren't talking to their financial people.

I think even the latest 10.2s and 10.1s still have Research in Motions sprinkled around...

Oh, internally it's still all RIM. I mean, the website is: rim.net :P

It's Blackberry on the share market. Otherwise those guys don't know what they are investing in.
