Alpha 2 is now out and includes embedded Sachibar.
Linux version is larger (500KB) now as I have statically linked libcrypto. This should help for newer distros that have crypto 1.0.1 as it's not binary compatible. Enjoy.

Something to try out: You should be able to 1) Extract a firmware, 2) Scan/Download a firmware and 3) Install/sideload firmware/apps all at the same time now.

Xsacha - the donate link is no longer in your signature
I was told that I was not allowed to have links to donation anywhere on Crackberry. I don't want to be banned, so I removed them all.
Edit: Of course I have plenty of links to my website in signature. Donations in past two weeks: 1. Thanks Hamilton

You can have a link to your website, just not direct to donate

    Thanks for this tool.

Used it today to extract a default app from the OS file when I wasn't happy with a new app I installed.

I added code for restoring and backing up files from your device.
It needs more UI space. I was wondering what you guys suggest. A new page for backup/restore?

Either a new page or a pop up window.
You might also want to change the actual text labels to clearly defined tabs if that can be easily done.

Thanks, I'll try to make them more defined. Possibly more tabs then.

I'd like a list of MCCs built in, if possible.

Edit: By the way, the Cancel button when accidentally clicking Download All instead of Grab Links doesn't work.

I do have a list in the code but it's too difficult to expose this in the UI. The list doesn't really make sense because 1 country can have multiple MCC and one MCC can be associated with multiple countries.
I will try my best though.

    Thanks. I'll look into it.

I second the idea of a separate page/tab for backup and restore.

That looks better - clearly defined as options. If it is easily done, I would put a little bit of spacing into the tabs underneath the labelling. And make sure the font is legible .

Oh, and don't worry I am a bit pedantic at times. You are allowed to have a messy interface, but paid for software with a bad interface is horrible....

That XML is in the BB filesystem. Not sure if Sacha can implement the xml into the app?

Hm yes, I've seen the carrier IDs in Blackberry Link before. It could be easier to use the actual carriers that BB is available from.
However, what happens if a carrier is added in future? Or if there's a carrier testing a future version of BB10?
There's also some special IDs (like 000) that may be useful for some people even though no phone uses them.

Edit: That XML you linked to is worse than the one I'm already using :\ It has some non-existent carriers and misspelt carrier names (the second one on that list is Alfa, not Alpha).

Anyway, I think it would greatly complicate the situation if I were to add names. Searching for names/regions/carriers would be much harder than typing their ID from what I have tried.
Some carriers have no less than 60 IDs (in India, USA, etc). So, I'd have to have NTT Docomo #1, NTT Docomo #2 .... NTT Docomo #71 for example. The ID actually means something.

Weird, it was in the 10.2 leak if I remember right. Dunno why BlackBerry would have typos and crap in it.
As far as new carriers being added, it wouldn't be hard to re-extract the xml and update wherever you have it.

I'm fins with the app as is either way

IP addresses are no longer required. Choose whatever USB IP you want on your phone.

Developer mode is no longer required. You can do everything without developer mode turned on!
