You've tried all the basics? Reboot computer, reboot phone, use another cable?

Look in the download file in your PC. Of course you can do a search of your PC'S hard drive and find it that way.

Hey, anyone mind trying this script out?

    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/th...t/vcredist.ps1

A PowerShell script to automatically get the Visual C++ redistributables (2013 and 2015), so that there'd be less issues with that in this forum.

I have downloaded the latest version for windows and extracted it to a folder on my PC when attempting to run the .exe file from the folder it gives me errors about files that are missing from my computer.
I don't find any installation file except from that .exe file
    what am I doing wrong?
    is there an installation manual?
    Thanks

You either need to have the person's PIN number already in your address book, or if you scroll to the top of the address book you will see it say [Use Once], and you can select that and manually enter in the PIN.
You need the 32-bit version of the Visual C++ Redistributable Package

    Hi,

Did anyone try this for you? Happy to give it a shot, if not.

Found a machine I could test it on more quickly than I thought, so tried it.

It all works beautifully for me, on my test Windows 7 x64 Professional box, and PowerShell ISE V2 x64.

Once run in PS, the first installation box pops up for the 2013 x86 version, and needs the "I agree..." box to be ticked and the "Install" to be clicked. That then ran and finished with a "Successfully Installed" message, which needed a "Close" button to be clicked.

Once the "Close" button had been clicked, the script continued and the installation box for 2015 x86 appeared, and the process was identical to the above.

What I would suggest in any documentation (either separately, or to appear on-screen as part of the PS script) is that you literally make the instructions as clear as you can, like "You will see a box with xyz on it; left-click on the tick-box square next to "I agree to the licence terms and conditions", to place a check / tick in this box, then the dimmed "Install" button with become active and light up. Next, click the install button to continue" etc

Although this method works perfectly, I wonder if those who are struggling are going to be happy running a PS script, or know how to run one without needing more support.

I know it's easy for me to say, but I think the ideal situation would be for the Sachesi tool itself to look for and offer to download and install the four possible (two x86 and two x64 versions) runtimes, depending on the found OS and any found "already installed" runtimes.

Anyway, hope that helps, and thanks from me for trying to help simplify the process for those still learning. The original post could do with being amended to include comments and notes on this very common issue, to point readers in the right direction.

    Regards

    James.

I installed the 2.0.3 Sachesi and seems to work fine, but when I tried to install Snap.bar, freezes and nothing happens.

Is there any thing I have to do at the BB10?

VC14 is Visual Studio 2015, so try the corresponding runtime.

I wish there was a Youtube video showing a step by step account, because what is lost in translation is the jargon of "tech talk" that may fly over heads of those like myself. I follow the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) method and love to be taught that way. Moving on, I am getting an error when trying to run the Sachesi latest exe file on Windows stating that "libeay32MD.dll is missing". My question is as such, how do I fix this and is there an even easier way to upgrade my phone?

If you're looking for KISS you probably wouldn't be using Windows but rather something like this https://www.archlinux.org/ . There is an easier way, it's called autoloader.
