    Here's a question I haven't seen...if it's in here and I missed it then apologies in advance.

What is the difference between the two different naming conventions for the app bars?

For example, when using Sachesi to download sys.data.nuance_ve.ENU.ava it will download .ava-10.3.0.382-nto+armle-v7+signed.bar. If I download the app bars from someone who extracted them the same file would be named sys.data.nuance_ve.ENU.ava.bar

What's the difference and does it matter when they are loaded to the device using Sachesi?
Filename, that's it. Sachesi, DBBTool and BlackBerry servers all give different names when extracting/downloading the bar file, based on how they were coded.
    Coming back to this....

There is an issue with BlackBerry Assistant where BBA can't find an app. For example, if you say "Open BBM" then it comes back and says "Unable to find BBM on your device." Talking with someone I know at BB they say they haven't been able to reproduce it on any production device updated with approved updating methods. I couldn't get a lot of info but they mentioned that it could be due to the naming of the files and BBA not being able to find the files because they have the wrong name.

Sachesi shows the file names as com.xxx.xxx.xxx or sys.xxx.xxx.xxx or similar when loaded to the device but the actual bar files installed have a different name when extracted from the debrick or downloaded via Sachesi.

I've seen some bar file lists posted here that have the com. and sys. file names. Where are those being derived from and would it matter for BBA if those files with those types of filenames were loaded instead of the Sachesi named files?

Well, I answered part of my own question. Darcy's Tools names them in the conventional way. I'm going to try reloading all of them using those filenames and see if it helps with BBA.

So, Sachisi version 2.0 RC or that 1.9.9 build?

    https://github.com/xsacha/Sachesi/releases

Is there a latest version that is known not to have these naming issues that people are talking about (BBM files mis-spelled)? I've done leaked OSes before but this would be my first Sechisi so I am mostly looking for no headaches.

Where do I get country and carrier codes? (FWIW: USA/Verizon)

    thurask,

Many many thanks for your answer.
lrelease (lrelease-qt5 on fedora) have succesfully created *.qm file (with some errors but nothing critical).

I don't know why qmake-qt5 sachesi.pro does not create *.qm file.
lrelease Instructions seems to be present in the sachesi.pro but does not work. I found some articles about this.

I will try to build Sachesi on my fedora this week.

    Kind Regards

I have a question.. I have a Z30 and I'm going to use Sachesi to update to OS 10.3.1.2267. I used the "version lookup" function and then I used the "grab links" from the production server function. So right now the debrick, core os, and radio file for my z30 are downloading. After they finish, don't I need to put them all in a folder named "10.3.1.2267" or something like that? It's been a while since I used Sachesi so I just have to make sure I'm doing this right lol.. Thanks in advance guys.

I'm not aware of any way to fix this yet I'm sorry!

I do know that if you do not have Link running or installed, it works fine with Autodetect. I use this myself.
    Hi xsacha,

This seems an issue. Using upgarded Passport with 10.3.1 and Sachesi is unable to detect. Spinning wheel.

Z10 running 10.2.1 is easily detected for installing Snap.

Now trying to factory reset the Passport to 10.3.0 to load Snap AND then moving to 10.3.1. Will post the result. (Edit: No going back to 10.3.0. Restored to 10.3.1 only.)

(Running Sachesi 2.0.0 RC in Mac Yosemite along with latest BB Link) (The method you suggested wont work )

Hmmm, can't seem to find the expected official release of 10.3.1.2276 with Sachesi. I've a Z30 and Sachesi is auto-populating correctly with country/carrier of 302/720 and knows it's a Z30. But after clicking the Search button, the window populates with files for OS version 2072. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain the official 2276 release??

Hello. I've been having issues getting link to fully connect to my z10, hence unable to do a backup using link. While using sachesi to backup, the app crashed a couple of times, before successfully completing. <br />
I performed three separate backups for app, media and settings respectively. However inspecting the backup file for the Application data backup, shows the content of the archive named as 'media.tar'. But it has the backup size for application data (4.6GB) - my media size is 3.7GB. Inspecting the manifest also shows the archive 'id' and 'names' set to 'media'.<br />
I would like to know if this is an irrelevant issues or if it means there's a problem with the backup. Do I have to edit manifest to get it to work?<br/>

Just downloaded 10.3.1.1581 for STA 100-5 using 302/610/Upgrade/Z30 but.. Sachesi shows 203 files but downloads only 165 files. Is this correct?

Then, when I go back to it and I see it shows 41 files this time but it gets stuck trying to download this, keeps going round and round with sometimes displaying 114%

Cancel download then uncheck that file in the list. Download again and you're good. That one is carrier specific and not likely needed for anyone but bellsucks customers.

It worked! So it was the carrier bloatware that was causing the issue!
Question: After I unchecked and downloaded rest of them, it completed everything but it left first two files behind, Radio and Core OS.
It won't download even if I check and download them again.

Are you sure they aren't already downloaded? It will only download the files it needs and not dup them. Check your download directory for to files starting with "qc8960". One will be 330,281 KB and the other 52,033 KB. The downloads typically go to a subdir of where you ran sachesi from.

They are there, I got confused since the filename wasn't same as indicated on Sachesi.

I have total 203 files in my subdir now. You are right. It's weird that it kept showing them as checked even though they were downloaded.

I better delete or rename this folder, search again, uncheck bell file and download again just to set my mind at ease.
Then I can simply upgrade since this one seems to be an "official" leak finally available for STA 100-5 specifically, not one of those "Classic + Z30" release like Rogers.

Unable to update Dev Alpha C with 10.3.1.1565 using Sachesi 2.0.0 RC.
Used an earlier version of Sachesi 1.2.3-38-918d22d and nearly spoilt the device had to reset it.

It completes the instal to 100% and then says 'Completed Update' however it does not restart the device and manual restart sets the device to the status quo version with the earlier amount of free space.

    Pls advise.
