Why did you get a refund?
You asked to BlackBerry, or they're issuing refunds to everyone without asking?
If the second, it's really bad news

I'm curious as to how all of you use Sachesi to find (possible) new Download links? This is what I do and would like any suggestions how to make the process any more efficient:

    1) Start Sachesi 2.0.0
    2) Go to Search, Version Lookup, Next Available Links
    3) Autoscan (It starts with my current version 10.3.1.1154) and counts upwards from there

I usually give this a go a few times a day, maybe more, maybe less.

So, are there some of you that let it run continually and check it when you feel like it?
Is there a better way settings wise?
Would it be a nice enhancement to be able to tell Autoscan a certain range low and high, that it would then continuously loop?

    Just curious....

I get a runtime error using Sachesi 2.0.0 RC on Windows 7 x64 to backup Apps/Appdata only from my Z30 running 10.2.1.3442. Settings and Media worked no problem and I was able to backup everything successfully with Link. Tried a few things to see if it was a compatibility issue, turned off my virus checker, switched to a USB 2 port, stopped Link and the BB Device Controller from running. Im not sure if this will have any impact on installing an upgrade.

I'm using the installed application list to get the radio version. It's possible if you flashed the radio separately in an autoloader, the system might not recognise this. You are going to be on Radio 996 but there's no way for Sachesi to know.

Hmm, haven't seen this issue before. What is the filesize of the backup?
I will be looking in to the app backups in more detail soon.

Just for information, a colleague of mine tried to upgrade a brand-new out-of-the-box Z30 with the Blitz leaked 10.3.1 as I did before - once it had finished setting itself up he connected to his PC and ran Sachesi - it kept telling him it had no radio. The phone was working fine. After trying umpteen things I told him to try the OS update on the phone and see - once that completed he tried again and Sachesi was happy to do the upgrade to 10.3.1

    Weird.

It cut out at about 25%, 1.5 GB. I'm guessing it does both apps and app data and Link shows this to be about 6 GB.

Thanks for the info and bringing this to my attention. This is related to the previous issue in which no 'installed radio app' is available so I can't detect the radio version.
I will work out a fallback solution and have that ready for the next update.
    Edit: Fixed in git now

I have just downloaded Sachesi 2.0.0 RC, I'm using a Mac with Yosemite and I have a Z10 with radio 10.3.1.1017, software release 10.3.1.652 (blitz install as well).
After starting Sachesi and connecting my Z10 I receive this error: "Cannot open: /pps/system/installer/radio/1"
What does this mean and how can I fix it?
LE: Blackberry Link now says cannot communicate with device.
I also updated both Link and Blend yesterday and Blend works like a charm, why not Link?
I have restarted both phone and mac, airplane mode on/off, changed USB port.
The only problem...I have no windows to try autoloader. Any other way to fix it? The phone works just fine otherwise.

I initially was able to run Sachesi once. I was simply using it to side-load the SNAP bar file. After doing so successfully, I went ahead and made a back up file while there... also clicked around as I hadn't used Sachesi in a long time. I then closed Sachesi. A day later I went back to side-load SNAP on my son's BB and immediately received the error: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application support team for more information".

Using Procmon I noted an issue in reading the 'pass' value under the key: HKCU\Software\Qtness\Sachesi

I removed the entire 'Sachesi' key and restarted without issue. All works again.

Sounds like it is having difficulties reading the radio partition. What was it doing when this error came up? Connecting or installing?
Either way, there's nothing I can do from my side. It sounds like a bug in the firmware.
Flashing a new radio autoloader would likely work as you identified but difficult to do without Windows. You will need a virtual machine.

I have problems with Sachesi detecting my Blackerry Passport.

    What I did:
    • Downloaded Sachesi via Link on Page 1
    • Connected Blackberry via USB
    • Opened Sachesi Application

The issue I have now is that Sachesi is searching for the device and cannot find it. I have not installed any Blackberry software on the Computer I am currently using. It's Windows 7 if that helps.

Do I need to install Blackberry software to make it run?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Hello Sacha, Sachesi was just connecting. After this error I tried connecting it to Link (wired), and also got an error. Blend (wireless) has no issues. I'll try autoloader at work.

Is this for compiling it yourself on Windows or Mac? If so: qt.io/download
Otherwise, Qt isn't needed. The binaries have Qt statically linked for OSX and Windows.

Just wondering if you can add back the Alpha1 server to OS searches.

Thurask's downloader program sees a whole pile of OSes that I can't see on Sachesi.

I thought Alpha 2 always showed the same results as Alpha 1. Sometimes maybe extras. Is this not true anymore?
I would like to reduce the lookups as much as possible as most routers can't deal with the amount of simultaneous hits required when you start adding in device lookups.
