Will the BB10 app work on device or is it via Wifi only? Am hoping for on device as you use the update installer rather than dev installer but will be satisfied either way.
USB, Wifi or proxy (local) only.

Made a backup this afternoon (it's 5GB). Upgraded to .4561 Followed all the instructions but cannot restore from the backup. I wiped from sachesi instead of a security wipe on the device itself. Not sure if that makes any difference. I don't think it does though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On VZW

Were you restoring from link or Sachesi? Did you get an error message?

I believe it is Real Time Authentication System which is a security mechanism utilized by BB. Beyond that I don't know.

Sorry about that Was a rush job to get proper info for the RTAS out there for those that needed it.

Yes, RTAS allows you to do some pretty neat stuff like modify NVRAM, decrypt logs and such.

Nice, two questions..... why it only works with 10.2, and what could be broken messing with this stuff?

No, I just compiled it and it worked fine, first go.
Going to adjust the UI so it looks nice and works well with touchscreen.

    Yes, BB10 app is coming.

Please request any other OS you want it built for:
    Example: Playbook, Android, etc..
    Playbook, sure, thanks.

Although I assume I would need to load 10.0.9 first, yes? And when I try that on my mac with Sachesi or with vmware-XP I get the 500 error--cannot determine package id so I suppose I will have to borrow a windows machine and try again unless someone has another idea. I tried it both playbooks and got the same error, leaving me to think something is happening with the mac.

The required libraries are only present on those leaked firmwares.

    "Cannot open backup file"
This means that the .bbb file was not able to be opened as a .zip. It sounds like it is corrupted.
How big is the file? 4.5GB? Are you using 'FAT32' as your Windows filesystem? Or NTFS?

Erm.. Can I update with Sachesi without losing anything? Like Link? And if you can... Do you just use the installer tab?

With upgrade bars downloaded through Sachesi, yes. With autoloaders and debrick files, no.

Yes, if you sideload firmware in the form of ".bar" files in the Installer tab, you won't lose anything. It does not perform a wipe.

The file is 5 GB. It's NTFS. I thought maybe the file was corrupted too. A shame but not a HUGE loss. I just have to load and place everything from scratch again. Ah well

I swear normal .zip file size limit is like 4GB? Source: Link

KMB4 Try open the file with the WinRar program..

Is there a downside to that and does it install all the bar files required?

The downside is you have to use an 'official' version because the operating system bar files are only available for those. So for the 4xxx series your choices are 4633 and 4537. The bar files cannot be recreated from an autoloader.

Sachesi does provide links to all the BAR files that you'll need. if using the 'upgrade' method the list is about 120 or so long and includes OS, radio, and all apps.

It takes a fair bit longer than just an autoloader too, both in sending the files, and after the first reboot. But that's time you'd spend on backup and restore (always back up first even if using the upgrade method if you have data you need to keep)

Thanks for the clarification. I would just prefer the upgrade method if it doesn't have any impact on performance or errors after install. I like tampering a little bit with new OS versions, but I don't really like to mess with restoring from backups that may fail, reinstalling all the apps and side loads and then perhaps having to set up everything from scratch.

Well this method is the same as if you received an update notification on your phone.
