To package APKs in to BARs, you just need the command-line tools from the BB website and a signing key.

By the way, just released 2.0.0 Beta which now has fixed links for Passport.

Sacha, is there any way to prevent that the latest builds for windows detect windows's locale (I guess) and load the corresponding language?

I use all of my software in English, but I guess my windows is set to Colombia (where I live) and sachesi is trying to speak spanish.

As a side note, not all of the UI is translated so some buttons or labels come up in spanish and others in english. I dont care for my software being in spanish but if you want, I can properly translate to spanish all of the strings in the UI, if you fnis that useful.

    Awesome app.
I requested the same thing some posts ago....

How about a button 'English' that lets you just turn off translation?
    Yes, yes , yes!!!!

    Thanks

Sacha, as I suggested before, even though I'm not familiar with contributions via gitHub, I'd be happy to complete the spanish translation and perhaps improve some of the current spanish wording as it seems a bit odd.

Let me know if you approve, and I will do it via gitHub.

In 2.0, if we have removed junk from the OS, I'm guessing the upgrade mode will re-install them as it has no way of knowing which apps are new. Maybe it would be possible to introduce an app blacklist which would save both bandwidth and time?

Yessir, this problem still exists for me on 2.0 beta

Plug in phone > begin to type password > prompt disappears

Works if you type password with phone disconnected.
    Also working properly in 1.9.9

I don't have the error screen any more, but it said the phone was an 8974 and the firmware file was an 8960.

However, the file name itself is qc8960.factory_sfi_hybrid_qc8974......

Mmm, from the code it looks like it should translate 8974 to 8960 automatically.
Is anyone else getting this issue?

I think tickerguy is using a passport
Also, passport os file on 1016 was different.

Usually there is 8960 and 8974 separate, and that one time there was 8960 that worked on a passport as well.

If served the new 8960xxxxxhybrid8974 os bar, I ASSUME it should work on all 8960 and 8974 devices & there should is no need to convert the link for the respective devices.

The 8960 only bar was available as well, but again im assuming 8960 and passport users both could have used the file that was served for the passport - the 8960xxxxxhybrid8974 bar

Maybe converting the hybrid link to 8974 only doesn't work?

I am aware of all this and this was all fixed in 2.0.0 Beta as said previously. It looks like it successfully convert the current board config from 8974 to 8960 hybrid 8974 when it is detected.

It goes further actually and will pass the test if both the detected and the firmware both contain '8974' in them.

    SOLVED IT

Windows 7 64 bit - Sachesi 1.9.4 or 1.9.9 or 2.0 - all of them give me this error 99 (connection timed out). Have unzipped the file into a folder and has all 3 dll files in it, ran sachesi as an administrator, ensured that firewall is classifying sachesi as trusted and allows to connect to the net - lastly ensured that the net is working. Tried disabling the antivirus / firewall and run sachesi - however the same error. Surprisingly Sachesi 1.2.1 works perfectly on the same machine.

Can anyone please help me figure this out? Need to update the z10... (dont wish to use autoloader).

    Thanks and Cheers...
Finally got this sorted out - I never use IE for browsing but other programs look there for internet access settings... Sachesi also looks theree.. Under IE, Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings, Use a proxy server... was ticked and was directing to some proxy which I don't use at home. Remove that check and Voila - Sachesi connects perfectly to the internet.

Latest 2.0 beta on OSX 10.10 is not detecting z-10/2. It says it is in autodetect mode but doesn't' actually find it. I am not sure how to change the mode on the BB 10.3.1.938.

I have been having this problem since I started using Sachesi. Sachesi will connect fine to my phone, start the OS upgrade and then at random times my phone will disconnect. This disconnect only happens with Sachesi. I can do a full backup/restore with Link with no disconnects. I have updated the device manager drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Link. I'm not sure what else it could be. I appreciate the help.

Yep, happen with me too using sachesi v.1.9.3, 1.9.9, 2,0. The only sachesi that works is only 1.2.1. I don't know whyn and haven't been able to find post that has a fix.

in the log didn't say anything, it's just stuck while installing random bar and when open the phone it's just seem lost connection and the phone is useable as usual. But always succeeded to upgarde using 1.2.1.

Looks like the device is trying to send something else during the backup. So the backup isn't going to work anyway. I would handle the error message but I've never seen it

Me too. Tried 1.99 and 1.95, did not work either. Hang at "Detected 1 Blackberry USB device(s) in Autodectect mode". Blackberry Link connects no problem. Turned on Developement Mode and Allow Connections.
