Now in the About section, I see the new radio+OS+SR.
In Sachesi, I still see the old factory_sfi and radio and the status bar says I'm running the old OS.

That's similar to what I was experiencing with 10.3.
Oh right. So the update worked. The status bar os/radio is now synced to the installed apps os/radio. So your device thinks that os and radio 'app' is installed.

The update worked because I flashed it. Uploading bar files does not work.
My device is really running the new OS since some apps would not work otherwise, but the bar files Sachesi finds are the old ones and the gateway is probably using that info to output radio and OS versions.

Looking at the file system, I have several duplicated folders (etc, proc, var) and they don't appear to be symlinks, so it seems files are unpacked properly, but the bootstrapping sequence fails.
Still wondering why this only happens to very few people...

Get the file link and add this at the end before the .bar: +patch+10_0_0_000
where 10_0_0_000 corresponds to 10.0.0.000 (the version you are upgrading from0.
Might just be too early in the morning, i don't seem to be able to do it (or I don't understand.)

Trying to create a delta from 1154 to 1418, I thought I should be replacing".bar" with "+patch+10_3_0_1154.bar" within the updates.txt file (should I be searching debrick or upgrade?)
But when I do that, none of the files will download.

Pretty sure I'm doing it wrong?

Paste your link here and I'll fix it.
I think your problem might be that you have heaps of stuff in between the filename and the hash.

It should be http://...../big hash here/filename.bar

Got it. I was trying to use debrick links.

Sooo, to do a delta upgrade I just need load the 1418 radio + the patched core os? Or do I need patched app and radio links as well?

You can be lazy and load full apps :P

If you had a Passport, Sachesi would generate all these delta links for you automatically just when you hit 'Search'. It's difficult to fake it the other way around though (fake search device delta).

Okok, would that be a blitz install? (radio + apps + patched core, compressed to a zip folder)

Does sachesi read from folders within the zip? [should I A) zip the folder containing the bars or B)"select all" bars and zip them]

    Thanks a million, I think that's all.
Well.. one more question. Link allows you to create "custom" app data backups, is there any plan to support this in sachesi? I've been using link a lot lately for custom backups. If I exclude BlackBerry runtime and system applications, I can usually restore all of my other apps without issues.

I believe I found a bug. If you attempt to restore a backup without having signed into a BBID on the phone sachesi crashes every time.

That's because BlackBerry doesn't allow you to restore a backup without being logged in to your bbid. The bbid from the backup has to match the bbid on the device.

Right, but could we catch that error rather than crashing the program?

Yes, all folders are included. They are all extracted to the same path though so don't use multiple files with the same name.

Thanks. I'll make it pop up an error message instead since a BlackberryID is required to make a backup.

Unfortunately Sachesi not work for me than version 1.1,
on any of the Mac OS X (10.8, 10.9.2-4, 10.10.1).
Ie. turns on, but when you try firmware upgrade, the program is off.
    Any ideas?

You mean any version after 1.1 doesn't work? Do you know the exact version where it stopped working? Since I have source versioning, I can pinpoint the change fairly quickly.

Click on the Release link in the first post under 1.9.5 and you will find it there.

Sachesi 1.9.6 and 1.9.9 already check both production and betazone server when checking links.

I just did a non-destructive update to 10.3.1.800 from 10.3.1.632. Everything went well as usual.

I was having some issues with notifications, so I decided to do a backup with Link, and do a security wipe. All good so far.

After the wipe, I can now not connect my Z30 to my pc anymore (I tried two computers, and two cables). Sachesi reports this error: "Cannot open:/pps/system/installer/radio/1".

    What does that mean?

PS: I did run an autoloader and corrected this problem, but I remain curious as to what this message is all about.
Haven't ever seen that one before Not sure. Maybe there had been multiple radios installed?
    Hi Sacha,
I too have this exact same error "Cannot open: /pps/system/installer/radio/1"
    I tried it on 1.9.9, 1.9.5 and 1.2.3
This is after upgrading my Z30 STA100-2 (10.2.1.xxx offical) using Sachesi 1.9.9 with your 800 + 801 Blitz zip file.
I cannot connect to Link in win7 and Sachesi is having none of it in Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.
After my upgrade I went into my 'About/OS' menu and noticed everything was 10.3.1 but my 'Software Release' was still the 10.2.1 so I did a security wipe and it fixed that problem as the Software Release is now 10.3.1.508.
    I havent restored anything.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Yes, I know. But somehow others got all the other OSes a few days ago when the links didn't show as live on Sachesi.

Edit: actually they are live now

Mmm, I just thought this was a bug in OS10.3+. I don't think 1.2.1 should have any different results.

I haven't changed any code in this area. Also, that progress status is completely controlled by the device. At least, it used to be?
I just recently began experiencing this on my device after updating to a more recent OS. It even affects sideloads.

What was the OS that your devices were on at the time?
    @xsacha,
I think something is up with the later versions of Sachesi and the total percentage progress bar:

I have two Z10's that were currently on 10.3.1.800--did that yesterday.

This evening I updated the first one to 10.3.1.938 using Sachesi 1.2.1 and the update status bar worked normally.

Moments later I updated the second Z10 to the same OS using Sachesi 1.9.4 and the update status bar stayed at 0% the whole way through.

Again, both devices started on 10.3.1.800 and were upgraded to 10.3.1.938 using the exact same OS files.
