I got one dumb question : With exception of the core OS and Radio, all the app bars are the same for every device?

    Version 1.8.2 is out.

OK, I will add something for this.
Currently, it pops up an error if the links *weren't converted* successfully.
If the device is 'As Above' no conversion is done, no error and no message in text.

I might put some text next to the buttons.

    Hi,
do we have a FAQ section in case of not connecting to the phone?

I just installed 1.8.1 but do not get a connection to my 10.3.0.1130 Z10 (but the old version 1.2.1 also fails to connect). At first, Sachesi said ther was an issue connecting, but now the circle is spinning around forever (I have to take care not to get hypnotized...)
I tried flight mode on and off, development mode on and off, with or without sim card.

    Seek you...

Edit: just saw post from xsacha...
Edit 2: 1.8.2 does not help. I suspect there is something else that's wrong

Version 1.8.2 works ok on my PC, runing WinXP (32-bit). Thank you for the update. (On my display, the layout inside the Download Device box could be slightly adjusted. See the attached screenshot.)Sachesi: Firmware Extractor, Searcher and Installer-2014-09-12_12-30-04.jpg

Ubuntu 14.10 > Hey. Not sure if it was an intentional change, but just wanted to let you know that I just noticed that the txt files generated during"grab links" and "version lookup" are saving to the desktop now (they used to save to the home folder). Downloads are still saving to the home folder (in a sub folder by os).

Ideally I think sachesi should create a sub folder in home called /sachesi/ to use as the storage location for both the txt files and the os download folders

Would you please double-check your PC or Mac to see if your device is properly connected with BlackBerry Link software ( BlackBerry Link - BlackBerry 10 Smartphone to Computer Sync )?

Addition of version numbers in the search result is quite useful and texts are no longer superimposing each other in the search result (when displayed in a small window).

Currently, it pops up an error if the links *weren't converted* successfully.
If the device is 'As Above' no conversion is done, no error and no message in text.
Software Release 10.3.0.754 (OS 10.3.0.1172 / Radio 10.3.0.1155), which is presently valid only for SQW 100-1, may not be a good example but when the target device (Download Device) other than 'As Above' is selected, downloading stops in a second as OS 10.3.0.1172 does not exist for devices other than BlackBerry Passport. An error message or a warning message might be helpful in such instances.

    P.S.

An opaque overlapping window looks nice but texts displayed in such window are sometimes superimposed on texts displayed in background.

Try going to System Settings->Storage and Access and set the USB Connection to: Connect to Windows.
    Voil
This solved my Sachesi connection timeout issues with Windows 8.1 64 bit. Thanks!

Mmm, yes. I should probably do a check for the OS existing when 'Download All' is pressed and then inform the user that the file isn't available for their device.

Carrier logos are tied to the sim card.

They are part of the bootloader and that can't be changed since they have not been hacked.

They are data apps inside Core OS.

Please refer to post # 8743883 , which briefly explains why carrier logos (start-up / shut-down splash screens) cannot be altered.

    quote

. . . if you extract the OS.RCFS there's a bunch of BAR files in the seed directory which contain things like carrier's default backgrounds and splash screens. If you load one of those BAR files . . . with a splash screen, when you shut down your phone you'll get that other carrier's splash screen. But when the phone restarts you'll just be back to your own carrier's splash screen . . .

I can confirm that BBlink does connect to my Z10...
Could it be that I messed up things by installing the new drivers 10.3 offers to install, even though BBLink works?

May I ask if a security (text) password is set to your device?

Have you tried USB connection mode other than autodetect?
