I have managed to import my personal certs on my Z10.
Is there any way to use them and send i.e. a signed email?

    Thank you

Only through BES, but I'm not even sure you've managed to import them. Validate them certainly, but when you try to install it tells you you need BES.

Well they both are under "My Certificates".
Doesn't than mean that they have been installed/imported?

You've used the certificate importer which will let you install certs for many different purposes, if you have the rights to do so.
In order to use smime with email, you need to import the cert from an email and there it will tell you that it can only come from a work account (BES)...
