I'm wondering how it's compared to Cortana.

I was amazed at how Cortana works in this video

There are videos for Siri and Google Now too. If anyone has time for a comparison I think it would be fun to see.

    Wow Cortana is freaking good.

Wow, this is really impressive. Windows Phone is becoming a really good platform. Here’s the one for Siri:

I like how both Siri and Cortana are so lively. They are humorous, make occasional jokes and have an almost conversational style of responses.

Hey guys so I made a couple of videos to demonstrate the power of BlackBerry Assistant. You can also get a feel of the commands that you can use:

Dude, I just decided to do the same thing after reading your post. Works incredibly good! Tried a whole bunch of commands, then I tried "open Facebook" and got the attached picture. Awesome!

I also own the same vehicle as you, 2013, Veloster turbo. If anyone is wondering I'm on Verizon.

(was suppose to go attached to my last post apologize as I'm still getting the hang of the mobile app). "Open Facebook" while connected in the vehicle. Pretty neat.

One thing I would like.... is for it to recognize YOUR voice and only respond to you.

    Pretty sure that's possible

If you are a fan of entertainment, you might have heard of these people, called "impressionists". They do this thing, where they sound exactly like someone else!

I'm impressed with its recognition, it understands 95% of what I say compared to the other way around with the old voice control.

I have noticed that I always get an error whenever I try to save a reminder though. Anyone else had that problem?

    Posted via CB10
Yes. You need to select the folder to save the reminder.

I mentioned this elsewhere but thought I'd say it here as well - I sic wiped both my Q and Z and then ran autoloaders, and now the Assistant is able to open applications. Make of that what you will!

    Posted via CB10
As long as you don't import a backup of your data+settings the assistant is able to open applications. After I've imported my 10.2.2 backup the assistant couldn't find my applications any longer.

Along with the new 10.3 leak, we were granted with the BlackBerry Assistant. So far my experience has been perfect, although there could be changes.

There is a sh*t load of things you can ask it. "How's the weather?" "Open CB10" (although you literally have to say the letters "c" "b" "10" which is annoying).

On the other hand, it's not as friendly as Siri or Cortana. You can ask her (the voice us female and unfortunately, quite robotic) where is she from (she'll respond she's from Canada obviously) or ask her to tell her a joke. And she will do all of these, but that's it and nothing more. She's all business and no entertainment.

Now comprehension wise, she's amazing. Although it takes a bit long to process commands (though much quicker than it used to be), it understands everything I throw at it. Only once did she miss understand Assistant because I tried to enunciate and unfortunately left a gap in between "a**" and "tent".

Overall she's far superior to Voice control from 10.2.1 and older. And though I must say she understands much better than Siri, I don't believe it'll be such a success in the consumer's eyes as they can't "play" with it (and although BlackBerry is going for a different audience, fun with AI's is something most people seek)

How are you guys enjoying it?

I've been on 10.3 since the first leak. Assistant royally sucked up until the latest leak as it never, ever, recognized my voice (I'm on a Z10). Now it recognizes my voice and has done what little I have asked it to do so far.

For what it is worth, what sober adult would want to "play" with Assistant?

The Virtual Assistant is surprisingly good at parsing commands from a single statement. Try something like,

"Schedule a meeting for tomorrow at 9 AM, Subject, Brainstorming session, invite John Smith."
