I wish BlackBerry would make it so BlackBerry assistant runs headless so we could trigger it by voice

I dont have a q10 anymore but I know that on touchscreen keybaords, you hold the "." (so hold the period) and the virtual assistant will pop up asking what to type. It should work on a physical keyboard too so hold the "." and see if that works

For time it does though. (maybe adjustable through network settings related to auto update time/timezone for carrier.

Unlike Siri, Blackberry nor Wolfram Alpha is recording, storing and using your voice search data for 2yrs like Apple does!

    FINALLY!!

    YES!

An artificial assistant that can launch applications, local device search, music playback WITHOUT the need to connect to the Internet.

IOS can't do this with Siri, Google Now can't either. But WHY do I have to if the phone is set to local time and time zone.

    ? BlackBerry Z30 ? If it Don't Make Dollars, It don't Make Sense ?

That's not at all true... does anybody read the terms/privacy policy? Lol

"Audio Data, information about your contacts ("Contacts"), the names of applications and songs in your music playlist(s), location information (where available), and device-related information (collectively "User Data") may be sent to servers of BlackBerry Limited or its subsidiary companies and service providers ("BlackBerry"), and is subject to BlackBerry's Privacy Policy available at www.blackberry.com/legal. Your Contacts will be sent to BlackBerry in encrypted form, but for performance reasons other User Data and Responses may be transmitted in an unencrypted format. Please review the Settings menu on your device if you wish to adjust applicable controls for location information or BlackBerry Assistant"

Also, fwiw.. it doesn't seem to be able to launch applications at all (not by typing either)

I come to this never having used voice control of any kind before - I've never used Siri, or even the previous voice control capabilities of my BlackBerry devices.

I installed 10.3 today and wow, I love the freaking assistant! Easy to use, does tons of stuff...I freaking love it, and have been firing it up every chance I get. Will be spending lots of time trying to learn all of its abilities.

I am finding, however, that it can't launch applications ("open candy crush, open remember").

On another note, switching cb 10 back to display 20 posts/page. Otherwise it seems to skip posts. Didn't realize there was already screens posted

If it makes a difference I installed the 10.3 leak with Sachesi, so...there's that. But she definitely won't open anything, always comes back with "unable to find "x" on your device."

    Same here
    Hmm.
Maybe I'll try a core os/nondestructive autoloader and see if that fixes the problem

Why is there no voice feedback on my phone?
If I ask for a joke, a math joke coms up but no one reads it out loud.

Even while calling / searching no voice prompts..

Is this normal or I am missing something?
Yea I know about the settings: voice feedback.

It worked for me earlier even though I didn't use the autoloader, so I'm not entirely sold that it's the main reason.

I've noticed that the problem seems to be due to it not defaulting to a folder for the reminder, if I manually set one while adding the note it works fine.
