Did not see any noticeable difference in radio with 1056. Want to go back to 1899 radio but get errors every time I try to load it using the Autoloader created. Anyone else have this issue reverting back to 1899? Also Sachesi shows 1899 installed but on device shows 1056?? WTF

EDIT: Found an Autoloader that SirJes posted for a user in another thread and that one seemed to work to load the 1899 radio now. All good.

Is that a z10? Battery life doesn't look great, not sure what you're happy about.

I've tried 1926's radio, and I reverted back to 1056's radio.

I think 1056's radio have better performance for network stable than 1260, 1899 and 1926

I use about 3 hours. I tested by trying to make a call, and it still turns down to a gsm network quality.
I also just try to test with Ookla speed test, 1056 has been better speed.

That's the same problem I had with 1899,I would have 1 bar in areas I used to have 3. I would also drop signal several times a day in areas I would have 1-2 bars.
1056 Has been the most stable for me also

This is the very post I've been looking for. Recently, namely about a week ago, upgraded to my first BB, the Z10 (from an aging iphone 3gs) and I was hoping for decent battery life. Now to find the battery life was actually worse than a 4 year old iphone was a bit deflating. This got worse when I updated to the leaked 1925 OS.

Still seeing posts like that showing that it could be something as simple as the radio sucking the power away is heartening.

So I've just installed the updated (back dated) radio, and I'll report back with some findings. Did a speedtest performance test before and after and noticed no difference in 3g/H+ performance (ping slightly better, but up/down very similar), other than the signal indicator being 1 bar below full some of the time (i'm with 3, so their service can be like that generally though, so I wont blame the radio).

If I can get a proper full day of medium to occasionally heavy use then i'll be a happy chap.

    Thanks!

Well Initial testing is positive. Downgraded radio to 1056, and also turned off Blackberry Link (hadn't realised I'd left it active previously).

Pretty typical usage today, with a 2 hour gap in the middle of the day when I took a well deserved nap lol. No gaming though, just surfing, checking CB forum, weather, bit of Satnav, some ebay, text, email, run of the mill stuff. and the battery has held up well. 14 hours is ok I guess, certainly better than the 6-7hours tops I was getting previously. I shouldn't be having too much battery anxiety during the day now.

I'll continue to monitor battery drain and post up if anyone is interested. Next test is switch on NFC and use a tag to switch off Wifi on my way out the house in the morning. I don't typically have access to wifi at work, so having it switched on is just wasting power. The NFC tag is my lazy way of switching off wifi quickly, as I'll soon get bored of going through menus or pull downs to switch it off. A quick swipe of a tag however is more likely to get used by me. Question is, will leaving NFC switched on all day use less power than wifi switched on all day. Only time will tell.
