So to recap you need three things (please correct me if this list is not right, or incomplete)

    A Z10 or a Q10
OS 10.2 (or is it just a specific App World build?)
Service through T-Mobile (i.e. your handset does not have to be T-Mobile branded)

The last point I'm very interested in. Is this true? Can someone who has, say, an AT&T branded Z10 on TMO (and meets condition#2) confirm that s/he can download WiFi calling and it works? I read one post in this thread saying it didn't, but I'd like a bit more confirmation please. Thanks.

Just downloaded and installed the 10.2 Hybrid for the Q10.... Installed and doing the security wipe... Will update after with results.

Raino - I have an unlocked AT&T Z10 on T-Mobile and while I can see, download and run the app, nothing happens. It doesn't work for me -- no wi-fi calling. Hoping it's not just for T-Mobile branded phones...

Although the branding might be the problem..... This app in appworld (so I am told) is stated to be for the Q10 only. Is it possible that while (for some reason) Z10s can download it, that it is not optimized for the Z10 and thats why you are having trouble?

(still waiting on the security wipe on my Q10)

Although I found it and got it installed it doesn't seem to be working.... I tried turning it on and then closing out. When I re-entered the app it was set to off... (no headless apps.. oops!) So I am leaving the app open with it turned on but it seems to be just sitting there.. Going to be tinkering around a bit to see if I can figure it out..

Lol you're the one post I read who couldn't get it to work on a non-TMO Z10. I was wondering if there were more

Has anyone actually gotten it to work, though? A few people say they've downloaded the app, but nobody yet has said that they've gotten it to work. So maybe there's still hope for you? Maybe you're in the general excluded class (which is everyone right now,) and not in a special excluded class?

    For ****s and giggles...

    Attempting the following:

    1.Do a full back-up of my 10.1 Q10
    2. Upgrade to the Hybrid 10.2 OS for the Q10.
    3. Security Wipe.
    4. Download Wifi Calling from BB world
    5. Do a back-up of clean 10.2 install with Wifi Calling app in place.
    6. Reload 10.1 onto my Q10
    7. Using this method: [URL="http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-tips-how-faq-f295/restoring-backup-after-downgrading-your-os-814749/"] Edit the back-up file to allow for a downward restore.
    8. Restore my ORIGINAL 10.1 Settings and Media
    9. Restore selective 10.2 Applications ONLY in BBlink from edited 10.2 back-up file.
    10. See what happens.

NO GO The 10.2 Restore would not go through) not sure if it is because of what I was trying to do or user error in the process for editing the back-up but still no go...

It DOES NOT work. It will install, it does not switch any calls from the cell towers to my wifi.

Sorry for not updating you guys sooner, had to leave for a bit.

I also think it may cause battery drain, as I notice my battery is draining a bit more than usual, even after uninstalling it. It may require a different OS than we have access to.

Just in the process of security wiping the phone, then reloading the OS, then restore from my previous backup.

He is probably stoked, but I'm sure it must not feel good to have a ton of hits but no one buys anything. As if they tried it but didn't like it.

Wifi calling absolutely works on T-Mobile - I have been running it on my T-Mobile SQN 100-5 running a leaked OS - 10.1.0.4537
and it is baked into the OS - see the following: http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...4537-a-825306/

It does work, am using it but when attempt to open preferences settings it fails. Was thinking it's looking for the app?
