I downloaded .2342 from here: Leaked OS 10.1.0.2342 for the BlackBerry Q10 | CrackBerry.com. And that is where I took the screenshot: Settings > About ?

Trying uninstalling the games and the battery apply unless your absolutely sure they are native Bb10 apps. BatteryGuru is a native BB10 application it is a good place to start testing.

Avoid free games and apps too until you figure out if it is an app draining your battery.

I have the same games on my Q10 before I installed this leak. These games are just Angry Birds and Jet pack Joyride and have never even opened yet. Battery lover is a native app which I downloaded from BBworld. I have no other side loaded applications nor any other downloaded applications. Comparing to the last one, the battery before lasts for 9-10 hours with minimum to medium use.

I fully charged it again @ 10:00 am. Made a few bbm messaging, after an hour the battery dropped to 80%. No e-mails, and no active frame running as I close the BBM everytime after the message is sent. I will observe until tomorrow and see if the battery will finally be ok. If not, I may have to go back to the lower official OS release.

Loaded 2342 for SQN100-3 since Saturday, Battery life seems to have improved drastically over previous leaks, and Official too.. Zippier, smoother, and don't seem to have any issues yet... only issue I got was an SMS I received that wasn't identified (I attribute that to the fact that I link all contacts together, and I was still not done with it).. by far best OS so far.

By all means, Maik. Just finished my piece of work on my Etisalat-locked device. Took less than an hour, although I had to re-insert mail password. ONTF, GO FOR A FULL BACK UP prior to rewritting the OS. Let me know how did you make it in the end.- George

Does the full backup also restore your installed applications when you put it back on? And are all your message histories copied over? Thanks

Yes, it does. With exception to sideloaded apps, you will have to reinstall them.

Get a full back up prior to installing new OS and then leave with Link the hard part of restoring apps/msgs/settings and the like. Did it a while before, it all worked ab-fab.

how did you get jetpack joyride on your Q10? its only available for Z10 isn't it?

I've put this OS on my Q10 3 times. first time with a Z10 backup restored on the Q battery life was horrendous. second time, with a fresh install, battery life was very good. but i really wanted my Z10 restore on my Q so i did it again today. back to the terrible battery life. it has to be something to do with using a Z backup on the Q but im not sure what - possible apps that aren't designed for the Q (ie. jetpack joyride) killing the battery?

Loving the new leak! Battery life has improved a ton and it was already good before. Halfway through the day and still at 85%. Which is good since I work in a low service area which usually would drain my 9900 by 3pm.

Its smoother, and faster. Great leak! Thanks to Kris for all his help getting me here. Finally can enjoy my phone to the max.

The Facebook app seems much faster on this leak. Battery is comparable to if not better than 1880 - I get 14 hours of extremely heavy usage, or 22 hours of moderate/light usage.

Oh I am sorry. I stand corrected. I just have angry birds and no jetpack joyride. The jetpack is on my z10. That is because I haven't used the games yet so I seem to have interchanged. I backed up my q10 using BlackBerry link and did not use the z10 back up. That is why I am quite confused what is eating the battery. No active frames running. No skype, no whatsaPp.

I just charged leSs than an hour ago. Did a few bbm and now im down to 85%.

I am still struggling to get Activesync work on the Q10 with OS 10.1. Someone said that there was a bug in 10.1 for Activesync. Is this true? Any idea how I can go back to OS10 on this Q10? I can't find the correct version. Can I not load it from BB Link?
    Thanks,

ah. no idea what that is then. im being patient with mine though. installing from any backups usually messes up the battery for a 24-48 hours so lets see how it is tomorrow!

Yes, will give it until tomorrow night. If the battery life is still the same, I am going back to the official OS.

Welcome to CrackBerry Forums! Don't cry, this is no place for crying.

What's not working for you with ActiveSync? ActiveSync should work well on your BlackBerry Q10 smartphone. There are threads and posts in the BlackBerry 10 OS forum as well as the BlackBerry Z10 forum that provide troubleshooting for discovered ActiveSync issues. Have you looked through those?

About your second question, you cannot go "back" to OS 10.0 on a BlackBerry Q10 as the Q10 smartphone was released with (and requires) OS 10.1. You can go back to the current officially supported carrier (or unbranded version if you purchased your device unlocked without carrier branding) version of BlackBerry OS 10.x by following the same steps that all BlackBerry 10 device users can use to go to the currently supported OS. Ya i had this loaded for two or three days now and the battery was getting worse. I went back to 2009 with the 1721 radio battery better right out of gate. Everything seems to be working fine.

Just installed it on my -3.

It's so much smoother and love the Whatsapp integration.

However, SMS/Text messages don't seem to be integrated in the hub anymore?
