Hey guys I was away for a month and came back to see a few new beta releases. I don't have the time to try each one to see what the changes are so can anyone confirm if the camera focus issue has been resolved?

The speed of the camera focusing has certainly improved from 10.3.0.

Upgrade yours to latest OS 10.3.2.2339. Here's the autoloader for your Passport.

I've still got issues though I think mine are different than most, where my images are blurry in the sense it looks like there's two images offset by half a millimeter :/

Hoping when I load the latest leak (post above is linking to it) it'll fix it!

OK thanks guys I will try the latest leak.

I have the two person issue but that was when it automatically switched to hdr. Other than that it's just too long to focus and if the object is moving it takes a miracle lol

Since you have been away for a bit, you might not know that when you go to any 10.3.2 leaks you cannot downgrade back to lower OS

Mine are always blurry unless I clean up the lens before taking the picture, and I keep my phone in an holster...

Try holding the trigger until it focuses, then release to take the photo. It has made my pictures and those of a lot of other PP owners much better.

I think you have to be on a 10.3.2 release for this to work best though.

Try holding down the take picture button til you are ready to take a pic and let go! Picture taken! See if that helps

re - holding the trigger and release to shoot... that really works pretty damn well. works great for 'focus and recompose'

    Thanks!

You know what this 'Hold the Take Picture' trick displays... That the Passport is slow to focus I hope Blackberry will figure it out sooner than later how to fix this. I tried a Samsung S6 Edge for a week and although I couldn't "communicate" as efficiently on it than my passport (hence why I went back to my Passport before the end of the two weeks try out of the Edge), taking a picture with it was blazingling fast.

The hold-the-trigger thing has zero effect on the outcome of my pictures, they always go double-vision right after it gets to perfectly focused :/

I wonder if that is a focal length issue I have that issue sometimes usually trying to take a close up try using another camera app such as camera++ in macro mode to see if it clears up or try pulling back a bit and zooming in

    I wonder...

It always happens with the built-in camera app, though sometimes when I finick with Camera++, I'm able to get it to finally focus for a period of a few minutes (and it will fix the built-in camera app when it does that too), but it's only for a few minutes...

I say "finick" because it's extremely finicky. I will adjust the ISO settings, the autofocus/manual focus, all of the settings and then randomly it'll start working again -.-

Do you have HDR enabled? HDR turns two pics into one. What you describe is a common side effect.

HDR works best when there is no motion.

Nope, tried with both on and off, I usually always have it off anyways...
