The real question is whether it has more stable WiFi, radio and battery than a hybrid 2204 with the 841 radio. We know that the 2205 radio was lacking in these areas.
This morning, I reverted back to 2204/2205, then installed the 2252 patches - will see if the 2205 radio works better with this batch of soup. if not, I will then try 841, and also will try 799.

I think Wi-Fi has be very consistent since I had 2204 installed. Haven't noticed any drops in connection.

I updated 51 apps or bar files using Sachesi including the OS from 2204 to 2252 sans radio file 10 hours ago on Q10.

After the restart the wifi stopped immediately even I reset the device and deleted the ssid/profile of the wifi and reconnect but it's still not connecting 'til now.

Previously I got >3 days of standby time but now at 80% - 10 hours only.

I'm planning to downgrade the OS to 2204 to see if will fix the current behavior.

    So be careful.

If I were to install the patched files (excluding radio) would I benefit from WiFi improvements,Even though I'd be excluding the radio?

With every OS upgrade you usually have to give it 24 to 48 hours to settle down as it has to resync and everything

Downgrade? 2204 is higher and has latest build date than 840. *confused*

    Exactly!
Running 2252/2253 for 48 hours now on my Classic and yes I can confirm my statements from post #43 and #49
Radio is definitely working more robust and Wifi has lesser dropouts (got VPN running as well) and yes as it is mentioned by others, Batterie last longer as well.
2252 is great, no way I would go back to any previous version.
And yes keep in mind that this patch is for Z30/Classic/Leap! Core and app's can be used with other devices BUT, you would running Hybrids with your older Radio files and this will effect the use of Wifi, Radio, Batterie and what else, just keep that in mind.

    I was on 2252 a few hours ago. Now I'm on 10.3.2.2204.

What I noticed immediately after the OS downgrade is its taking time to charge unlike during the first time I installed 2204.

How did you downgrade? Destructive or non destructive?

    Non-destructive by using sachesi 2.0.

Well, afaik, nondestructive downgrades comes with some (if not a lot of )issues.
Best method to downgrade is using autoloader or doing a reload with blackberry link.

Yup! But I will try for a few days to settle down the OS and after that I will decide my next move.

Usman, when do you think we will have debrick, core and radio files for a complete update? By now, on my Z30 patch files are working good but I noticed some little problems: nothing great but I think that, with a complete update, they will disappear

If at this time is not posted is probably because is not intended for Passport use. So waits patiently for the next available leaks.
