I installed 2354 leak. First day was on the phone alot and went through battery. Next day email performance is weird today. Got some mail from 365 account then stopped getting mail. Rebooted and got mail. Sent some more tests after reinstall of account. Kinda spotty. Getting signed onto wifi was not easy, rebooted router and got on. Not sure if that was OS or router.

Playing around with wiping and reinstalling a back up. Tried Factory reload too.

What is the behavior of a factory reset? I thought that this would possibly load a lower version of software OS. hahah No I still have 2354.

Edit: I think I was stopping the download of the original OS. I guess green light means , hey im downloading OS so DONT touch anything.

Hmm, a factory reset should reset the device to the ORIGINAL OS that came on the device. But, immediately after the device loads, don't do a OS check, otherwise it might update a patch or something...

To revert back to your carrier's stock OS is a simple 2-stage process:-

    1) Soft-brick your phone by running any of the leaked OS autoloaders, then pull the USB cable once the new OS starts to write to your device.

    2) Connect to Link and hit Factory Reset.

One last thing. When we create or reload a back up....is the backup that we restore able to lay over any OS version or is the backup bound to whatever OS version was running during the backup?

The backup includes information that identifies the OS number and you can't restore the backup to an OS with a lower number, e.g. 10.2.0.93 backup cannot be restored to 10.1.0.2062. The backup OS information must be equal to or lower than the OS on the system

Of course one of the Hall of Famers on this leaks forum has an answer for that. DarcyTallGuy has created a utility that allows you to change the OS number on your backup to allow it to restore to a lower OS number. I used it when I reverted from a 10.2 OS to a 10.1.

Thank you for posting this! I rolled back to the latest Telus update (.2014) and was mildly annoyed that I couldn't restore the update I'd created under .2354. Not sure I would have found Darcy's Tools if not for your post!
