I'm so confused. The 2 times I tried this "nondestructive " update all I did was drag and drop the signed bars "debrick then radio" into sachesi and it loaded up no problem. Now I'm seeing posts about splitting the debrick...

Just loaded it on my Z30. Couldn't take the 10.3.1 anymore as it was draining my battery like crazy. Hopefully this is better

Anyone else has any feedback on the battery life?

Hi, I just loaded up using Sachesi and everything went smoothly till it restarted. Once it did, none of the core BlackBerry apps open, when I do, click them, they crash. But other 3rd party apps are opening and working. Anyone facing this or seen this. I am using Q10 and earlier I was running 10.3.1.632

In your case you have to use an autoloader as you were running a later build.

You don't have to split it just to load core, sachesi will just load the core os and ignore all the bars, still be non destructive. If you want updated bars then you need help extract them and install.

    2. Place the core OS and proper radio into a directory on your computer.

    3. Use Sachesi to SPLIT the debrick file; then use the "EXTRACT APPS" function (which CANNOT take a .BAR input; this is why you must split it first!) to get the app BAR files.

    4. Place all of those into the SAME directory as the CORE OS and Radio.

    5. Now DELETE all the "sys.dxtg" files. There are four; the sys.dxtg.launcher file, if present, will blow up the install as it is missing some subsidiary components. This is the "Docs To Go" program and I've seen this problem before with debrick files. I have no idea why it happens, but you have to remove those files or the load WILL FAIL at about the 50% point.

Connect the phone to the PC and go to "INSTALL." Make sure the phone can be seen -- click "REFRESH"; it should show the current installed versions of what you have on the device in the window. If it does not something is wrong -- fix it before you continue as the install will not work.

Now drag the directory you put all those files in on top of Sachesi. It will start the install.

Go away for an hour to an hour and a half, but make sure your computer doesn't go to sleep! It will take quite a while to load. When it finishes the phone will reboot automatically; if it does NOT reboot (but just exits back) something went wrong.

The first boot will take quite a while -- maybe as much as 20-30 minutes. It will also take an hour or more before the phone settles down after it boots as it has to reindex everything.

You probably sideloaded the debrick file. Sachesi ignores the apps and just installs the core os.

You need to go back to the debrick file, change it to a ".zip" file (just change the extension), unzip it and then use sachesi to extract apps from the ".signed" file that's in the unzipped folder. Then you'll get a folder with all the latest apps, sideload those.

Except step 3), you don't need to split it. Just rename the debrick bar to end in ".zip" and you can then just unzip it and pulled out the ".signed" file.

Oh! Don't have a PC around to use the auto loader. Will just then have to sleep and get a PC tomorrow to try that. Is there any other way to get it right using Sachesi and Mac?
