The browser bar file is mostly a UI, as the main components of the browser are part of the OS. This is why mixing and matching is not a good idea.

Thanks for the autoloaders, it makes it so easy to update. Just an FYI, didn't fix the no service issue on my passport.

I haven't noticed anything significantly new with this recent update except a bit of dismay today when all of my saved Wi-Fi connections were suddenly lost and need to re-entered again. In addition to the lack of continued support for the Z10 STL-1, this is definitely another, though minor, flawed inconvenience to an update resulting in some settings being lost after just a few days. It also makes me wonder if the same thing may happen with my email password settings. Anyway, the writing has been clearly visible on the wall for some time now and it's just one more tiny signal that BlackBerry 10 is on its last days, maybe EOL very soon. It seems, to me at least, time to move on to another mobile software platform or alternative smartphone brand (Apple, Samsung, LG or Microsoft, maybe?). Indeed, it's been really heartbreaking for many users like myself, but perhaps, it's also a time to face the harsh reality that even the best technology can fail to meet popular demand / expectations and become too unprofitable to its manufacturers / shareholders.

That's just your phone. This OS is still running well on my ClassicSQC100-4 and Passport.

Yes. But a clean install is way better.

Okay, so I loaded this up with an autoloader last night.

All went well. Slowly setting everything back up.

I have an AT&T Z10. Previous OS was the last one that just came out- 10.3.3.2163, which was Blitzed over 10.3.2.2876.

While that generally worked okay, I was having a few glitches.

First thing was that I wasn't getting voice mail notifications. People would call me, which I'd see, but if I didn't answer and they left a voice mail, I wouldn't know about the voice mail. I had several people say they left messages, but the phone left me no indication of it. I just thought AT&T was messing up until I hit the call voice mail button - and sure enough, there were all these messages for me. So I tested a call from my wife's phone. My phone tells me I have a call. I leave a test message, my phone never pops that notification up and no voice mail icon in the Hub.

Second issue was that apps would randomly shut down on me while using it. Not all the time, just every once in a while. An app would just suddenly drop to faded active frame on the home screen. If I clicked on the frame, the app would restart. If I was reading CB10, and clicked a link that went to the browser, I'd read the browser, than try to switch back to the CB10 app, I'd find the active frame had faded out. Clicking on it just restarted the app back to the main screen and I'd lose my spot in the thread I was reading.

So, I figured an autoloader was due.

Seems things are fine, but this will be my first full day with it.

One thing I found already, and maybe it's been too long since the last time I did this, but I can't seem to set specific sounds and LED colors for individual email accounts.

Update - See bottom of post

I thought if I went into "Notifications" > "Normal Profile" > "Customize App Notifications> "Email Messages" > that it would first show me my two email accounts to pick from. It doesn't. It just goes straight to the email notifications with no way to select one from another. I used to be able to do that.

The two accounts are set up where one is a work Exchange account. The other one is my home IMAP account.

I tested it out by sending emails back and forth between the two accounts and it seem the notification settings is only affecting the exchange account. LED color and sound for the home account is the default red LED and no sound at all. I'm getting previews for both accounts. Both accounts show properly in the Hub.

For some reason, the notification settings isn't finding the home account.

Is this just me? Did it somehow mess up? Or does anyone else see something like this?

I just want to know if it's just me, or was something changed.

I've already rebooted once this morning. But I may try it again. Both accounts were set up last night right after loading the OS.

And both accounts could be set separately in previous OSs.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Joel

UPDATE: Okay, so I spoke too soon. After another reboot, now both email accounts show up and now I can set both with separate notifications.

After upgrading my OS on Z30, some apps downloaded from app world don't work anymore. For example Philips Dictation recorder. What can I do about that?
