Thanks, brookie and conite, for your quick replies.

I'm nervous about the emergency calls issue reported in the Passport forums. Wanted to see if I could go to an earlier radio in the offchance it might help in some way.
If you are nervous about it, just don't update. Unless you are experiencing problems with the OS you are currently running, there really are very few advantages to going to 10.3.3. I am happy with 10.3.2.2888 on my Passport and probably won't change.

I already updated awhile back, before I learned about the Passport issue.

Hello people,I really need advice.Think to buy Z30 for the next couple years, now using Q10 and in my 55 just feel need bigger screen.Apps are no problem for me,just need call, sms, good sound,Amoled screen and browser.
The question is"If phone itself works with no problem, could be that Blackberry 10 devices will not be allowed to use internet or YouTube",may be some kind of program that will block them to use it(technology),just make us to stop using it.What do you think,is this possible.
Hate to use Android,Iphone out of my budget.

Has anyone with the q5 been able to properly use bb link to backup and restore after the 10.3.3 autoloader?

Without hanging and weird errors? (Check your device is connected, hang on loading the restore files directory)

Tethering was working 100% perfectly before the autoloading. I'll try reinstalling software, rebooting etc.

If its this easy to autoload, and it can't be fixed, I might downgrade. Anyone have any experience with that either?

Once on 10.3.3, you can't go back. That's BlackBerry anti-theft in action.

Link doesn't play nice with 10.3.3. That's why I always recommended Ultimate Backup. Frankly, you're better off with a clean install anyways. Just set it up again.

I can't go back? Well that sucks. I had perfectly functional teethering, now I have faulty teethering :/

Ultimate backup seems to be paid, third party software.

I was advised to do this upgrade, and nobody said it would be broken. That's fairly frustrating.

I think there are 3 versions of 10.3.3.xxx. If you are on the 10.3.3.2205 you can downgrade to the other 2 versions of 10.3.3 but you cannot go back to 10.3.2.xxxx.

    Yes. We are sure.

10.3.2 was the first to prevent going back to an older OS, so this isn't new.

Other than being able to go back a few builds within the same branch as mentioned above.

Sad. Well hopefully everything else works well enough to compensate for the loss of functionality. Should be a common warning though, IMO - if you upgrade you will lose the ability to use link (and possibly other teethering features?)

I have a spare z10 with 10.3.3 on it and I have no trouble using Blackberry Link. I have a Windows 10 laptop and an older Windows 7 laptop and Link works fine on both for backing up and restoring (tried it out as an experiment). I know many others have had problems, but mine just seems to work fine, even with my old Playbook.

There are dozens of active threads about Link on 10.3.3 and/or Windows 10. Few people use it anymore anyway, as it hasn't been updated in 2 years - and it usually causes more problems than it solves.

It worked for me beautifully, as did all the teethering, when I upgraded to the latest teethering driver and reinstalled the software.

It was going to be the way I'd easily get my apps back. Something I have no idea how to do now I can't seem to get cobalts software to download from mega.

Could be a few days fixing this phone...Bit of a headache.

Anyway I think " can and does often breaks BB link" could be something worth putting in the thread header here.

I probably wouldn't have autoloaded if I knew that.

It doesn't break it for everyone. Just many.

What is the best (least buggy) version of 10.3.3.xxx right now? I am using 10.3.3.3.2205 on my Classic.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that Link wouldn't work for me for backup and restore, so I switched to Darcy's tools and that worked flawlessly.

First Drael, it's spelled "tethering" not "teethering" because every time I read it, I thought you were talking about your own teeth and I was a bit concerned for you.

Second, I wish they would fix the bugs they introduced on my Z30 and 10.3.3 and if anyone who has a connection with BlackBerry directly that can tell them of these issues then that would be awesome.

    10.3.3.2205 and below:‎
Aside from the noted issues from BlackBerry themselves, using 2 Exchange accounts as well as 2 Hotmail/Outlook accounts, I see the following recurring issues with a clean, no restore install:

    - Inability after some time from boot up to open attachments, from Exchange accounts (that I have noticed) it just hangs. Sometimes letting it get to 10-20% of downloaded data and then going back into the hub and go back into the email shows a green check mark that it has been downloaded.

    - Inability after some time to copy and paste a link from the browser to a drafted email. Paste shows up but does nothing when tapping it to paste the URL. I'm sure this is the same case if it were text too from the page to the drafted email.*

    - The mark as read/unread in the overflow menu breaks/stops working after a while is one of them on both my exchange accounts. I have to reboot to fix it.‎

    - Every now and then, mostly after a reboot, when you launch the camera, it asks where to save the pictures taken all over again (on the phone or media card) as if it forgot it's settings from before.

Bugs since 10.3.2.x and are still on 10.3.3.x:‎
    - The camera's auto focus on close objects is awful and loses focus after it seemingly has focus.

    - The damn phone app is extremely slow to make and hang up calls. Rebooting only solves the issue for about an hour or so and then starts acting up again. PLEASE FIX THIS DAG NABBIT. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE HERE WITH THIS ISSUE!!!!!

    - PayPal still does not work within BBW!!

‎‎A good friend whom I work with used to work at BlackBerry's NOC back in the day, so maybe I'll ask him too and see if he knows anyone left there but if anyone knows someone who can kick this list up the ladder, I know I would be eternally grateful.

    Thanks all!!

Just FYI, Link backup was failing for me (Win10 Pro, updated, no iTunes) until I ran Link "as Administrator." Apparently, it wasn't inheriting the correct write permissions. I know there are other issues with Link, but via wanted to mention that here.

Z10STL100-1 will not accept 10.3.3. You are still on 10.3.2. Reload your OS. Or use 10.3.2.2813 autoloader.
