Worst part is blend and Link would rock on BlackBerry Android

It would indeed be handy to have something like Blend on Android. I guess the closest competitor is the Microsoft Continuum thing for Windows phones. I haven't tried it personally. Windows Phone went down the same rabbit hole that BB10 did: marketshare dropped below 1% and developers all started abandoning it.

I'm using it right now. But it has a variety of annoying flaws because development was stopped in 2015. Just regarding the BBM aspect:

    • No ability to quote a post for reply
    • No support for post retraction/editing. If someone else retracts/edits, you see all versions of the post.
    • No ability to post or view stickers
    • Support for images in general is poor, have to view inline pics on handheld
    • Support for channels is poor
    • Support for groups is barely adequate, eg no support for lists, admin functions

That's just off the top of my head.
Thanks, it's good to know that Blend will still work after updating, I haven't got the update yet.

I realize blend has flaws, especially the BBM aspect, but I still like.

Can I create autoloader with sachesi? I'm lazy to learn with a new app. But I'm interested on a clean install
I'm pretty sure Thurask is working on building autoloaders at the moment. Wait a bit and you can probably just download a complete one.

    Seriously?

The old FB native app (BAR-file) is gonna be killed with the newer OS version 10.3.3.x for BB10 devices?

Man.. I'll definitely stick with the latest OS version of BB10. 10.3.2.x.

It did, but they haven't killed it entirely, the surface phone (if ever released (someone said mercury)) Will be a good one

No OTA on Verzion Z30 STA100-3, but that is a given with Verizon :P

I've downloaded the files for mine on the OP links, and extracted down to the apps to do a non-detructive Sachesi load, but I'll wait awhile first to see if there are issues reported.
Mean time I noticed the BBM version in this update is an older version than current from AppWorld:
    • Extract = 10.13.7.17
    • Current in AppWorld = 10.14.6.9 (dated 11/29/2016)

Might booger up your BBM messages if you load that older one..... just a thought.

Good point re: BBM, on frequently updated apps the OS releases usually trail the latest app because the OS releases have to be "frozen" for a while since it takes a while after they are submitted for certification from regulatory bodies first.

Random tip: sometimes when you do a Sachesi update you discover that there are one or more apps (BAR files) that don't install properly. In many Sachesi versions this will cause the entire update to fail at that point.

So what I do is separate the files into 2 folders: a folder containing the core OS and radio files, and a folder containing all the BAR files. Then I do the update in 2 stages: I will first install the folder of BAR files (this is the most time-consuming part), and make sure all of the BAR files install properly. If they do, then I will next install the folder with the core OS and radio files. The device will reboot by itself at that point.

IF one or more of the BAR files do NOT install properly, I will take note of which ones they are, create a new folder or subfolder and make a copy of the 'failed' BAR files there. Then I will try to install just that folder. Sometimes that will then work OK. (because they depend on other BAR files previously updated) If it does not work, and if they are not critical BAR files (such as core OS apps like email/SMS/etc), I will go ahead and update the core OS and radio, see how it boots, and try those files later. (Sometimes a fixed version is released later, for example. Or you can sometimes revert to an older version)

I think he means that it would be nice to have Android runtime updates properly to at least kit kat (lollipop is even more imposible due to 64 bit os requeriment) so Cobalt can update the aforementioned google play files

Well even if BlackBerry ever updated the Android API level to something newer (and they won't), it wouldn't come with Google Play files since it isn't OHA compliant, so... (Not speaking of 3rd-party hacks..)

Personally if I wanted to give Google the ability to snoop all over my device activity I wouldn't bother with BB10 and just use an Android device.

Blend works flawlessly in Windows 10 with:

    Hardware: Passport SQW100-1
    Software Release: 10.3.3.1359
    OS Version: 10.3.3.2049
    Build ID: 902331

FYI, did a precautionary uninstall, reboot, reinstall of BlackBerryDesktopSoftware_1.2.0.52_B59 beforehand.

    Halleluiah!

This will actually cause the problem. For instance, the wallpaper bar file must be installed alongside either the core or the radio file. Sachesi goes into "OS mode" when a core or radio get installed, and some apps require that mode too.

I had that issue with the wallpaper file and addressed it separately the last time I did an update.

My procedure has saved me many hours of failed installs in the past so I'll stick with it (with the exception of the wallpaper file) and see how it goes.

Good thing I don't care about the default wallpaper I guess.

A very curios thing than people should know here, The Classic has USB OTG and it shares the same autoloader than Q10/Q5 (those two doesn't have it) so i guess than the Q10 and Q5 have the USB OTG files in the OS but they doesn't use them, same with My Z10 and miracast, the apps are in app manager but you can't use them, I wonder why I can't delete them

Actually, it uses the Z30 file. As well, the same OS file can be used for the Z10 (not STL100-1), Q10, Q5, Z30, Leap, Classic and P9982/3.
