So, to get it right. To all those claiming to be having great results in terms of radio (signal strength, etc) / battery life, I would ask you Are you all in verizon's network? Should I expect this being better than my 2205 (I think that's the number) radio over another carrier? I know there's no one better to tell than myself, because everybody has it different. But I'm curious, mainly by the fact that this one has been said to be something Verizon.
Since I do autoloader only, I would rather have false words of encouragement (perhaps not false, but not entirely accurate) , than just try and have to set up all from ground up to see i was doing better with 10.3.2.2204 .

PD: FYI, I had coffee, fruits, and cereal for breakfast.

Could someone please try setting up a picture as a wallpaper and tell if the crop-problem has been solved?

It's still screwed up. I loaded .840 on my wife's Z10 and just tried the wallpaper.

Set the image in sd card, it is a bug when image is in device memory

Ok I figured out why I was having an autoloader problem with my Q5.. it was a bug with the script, or, I somehow accidentally did something without noticing, that created the bug.

I investigated the bars folders that had been downloaded.. the 798 folder was empty, and the debrick bar that should have been in the 798 folder was in the 840 folder along with the 840 bar, so 2 files rather than 1. When it created the autoloader, it created it based on the first file that was in the folder rather than looking at the filename (afaik). The first file is 798. So this is how it made a 798 debrick with an 841 radio.. obviously that is wrong.

To prove that it wasn't the download that was the problem but rather the filename logic, I used those bars with Darcy, and it made an 840 autoloader no problem for the Q5.

As you recommended to me yesterday, I'm sticking with my 2204/841 hybrid because it's working very well on my Passport.

My hunch is that the reason a full 840/841 OS seems to be working so well has more to do with the 841 radio than with anything better about the core 840 OS over the core 2204 OS, or vice versa. I suspect there isn't a whole lot of difference between these two core OS versions, and the apps from both versions are essentially identical. But just about everyone's experience here is that the 841 radio is better than 681, 799, and 2205, at least in terms of battery life. It's very difficult, and certainly time consuming, to try to do controlled studies with all these variables.

I did have one disconcerting experience today, though, with my wife's Z10. Last week I had loaded it with 2204/2205 and all was working well, but the battery life wasn't very good. Today, as posted earlier, I loaded the 841 radio over it, and the Z10 of course rebooted after the load. I did not do an additional hard reboot at the time. Tonight, the device go hot while it was in her pocket, and it turned off spontaneously. I turned it on again, couldn't see anything unusual in the device monitor, even did a selective BBVE check on it. I then did a couple hard reboots, and followed by a shutdown and a battery pull. Interestingly, the battery was still at about 80% after all this. So far, no additional issues with her Z10. I've had this happen on occasion with both the Z10 and Passport for no apparent reason, and figure it had something to do with adding the radio in and not doing an additional hard reboot.

So, I loaded up the 841 radio on top of 2204. 2204 I loaded up via the blitz process about a week or so ago. I Sachesied the 841 radio bar yesterday. I only have been on this hybrid mix for about 24 hours, but so far the battery is better over 24 hours than it was on the 2205 radio with highly similar use. Call quality is tougher to determine, since I really had no problems on 2205. I guess since this 840 was a Verizon OS, I wanted to use the 841 Verizon radio. So far, so good.
Are you on a Z10 or a different phone? If you are on a Z10 did you load the STL100-4 radio? Just curious as I have been contemplating loading the radio over 2204.

    Thanks.

Did you load the STL100-4 radio or the STL100-2/3 radio? I am trying to decide which one to load on my VZW z10. I have usually seen better results with the STL100-2/3 radio over the 4, so I am curious.

    Thanks.

I tried yesterday evening and was unable to switch inside my account online to the "basic visual voice mail" but this morning I was able to switch from the 2.99 to the free inside my Verizon app.

The STL100-2-3 on my Z10 100-3 w AT&T. I did'nt know you could use a radio different from the one intended for your device, but then, I really don't know.

After 2 days I used the hybrid 841/2204 on my passport in daily driver, the lock signal is good for radio 841. The OS is fast and for a while I enjoyed with this hybrid.
For the battery, this hybrid gain improved, but is depend on the location and country.
So...maybe my experience can share for this group.

Gotcha and thank you. Thought your wife might have been on Verizon. Yeah the STL100-2/3 & 4 radios are interchangeable. On all phones after the Z10 BB merged the OMADM part of the STL100-4 radio so it was just one radio file. If you were to load the STL100-4 radio on your wife's phone it would just have some extraneous code.

I think this is because there is a new SSO agent file as part of this update that is version 10.3.2.0 . I added this file to my Z10 a few days ago and it started autosigning into My Verizon like it used. So before we were using an SSO file that was not compatible with the OS for doing automatic sign in. Good to see someone else is noticing this as well.

VVM did not work on this build for me. I tried it with my other Z30 after a fresh autoload with this OS and Verizon VVM activated on my account.

I wonder since they have to activate the "free basic voice mail" on their side for the z30, q10, z10 if we have to wait until they officially release this OS for our devices.

It's looking that way, at least for the Passport, in terms of battery life, mainly. I'm going to load the 841 radio on my wife's Z10 with the 2204 OS to see if it improves the Z10 battery life, as well, where it's more critical than with the Passport.
Here's the result from today. This was moderate use, since this morning.
A little better battery life, I think, as compared with previous OS builds on her Z10.

Did you have to do the VVM "fix" or does it just work after the 840 install?
