I wonder since they have to activate the "free basic voice mail" on their side for the z30, q10, z10 if we have to wait until they officially release this OS for our devices.

    Hopefully that's the case.

Which one should I install ?
Why it is progressing with two different serial number.
    What's the difference ?

840 have a lower android bar than 798, but 798 have the same version than 2204.

I solved the Android apps problem, or at least so far, by doing what someone here suggested a few pages back. After trying a reload of 840 core OS along with the 840 Android runtime and having no success, I simply loaded in the 2204 core OS--nothing else--and Android is entirely back to normal.

Now I have a hybrid with 840 apps, an 841 radio, and the 2204 core OS. Android and SMS messaging are both working, along with VVM (but I'm on AT&T, not Verizon, so I wouldn't expect VVM issues).

It actually seems a little faster to me than did the full 2204 OS, but I can't tell. I think I'll leave it as is for a while and see if the 841 radio gives better battery life than did the 2205 radio.

question: where is proximity sensor settings and etc? In core? Because on PP 2204 I have proximity sensors problems (other users too), so, I just want to replace core and radio, but have 2204 android runtime, because, I use android apps.

I can't resist an official 10.3.2 release for the Verizon Classic.
Loading over 2204 via Sachesi (with an unchecked "only install newer apps" box).

Is the silly " crop " - issue resolved in this build, where you can't crop a picture properly for setting it up as a wallpaper?

Good question! I'd like to know this, too.

No question now--with my unintended hybrid of all 840 apps, including Android and the 841 radio, and the 2204 core OS--that everything, including the Android apps are running much faster than what I had before with the full 2204. I don't think it's my imagination or a placebo effect, but I can't rule it out.

Anyone else have this exact configuration now and who wants to report on their experience?

Excitement over. Android apps crash. Going to try KenV54's method of just loading the 2204 core OS.

Let us know what happens, and also whether you think the overall performance is better than under the full 2204. Of course, you have a Classic and I have a Passport.

BTW, the real credit for that idea (of reloading just the core OS of 2204) goes to BH007 in post #113 above.

Android apps are working again. Can't comment yet on overall performance.

Doing this, swapping SIMs will work, at least on 10.3.1.x builds. I have posted this before in the Verizon VVM thread. I moved my SIM, by buying a SIM adapter, from my Classic to my Z10 and the Free VVM continued to work. I picked up a Z30 last week and moved my SIM to it and continue to have Free VVM. (I did do a backup an restore from my Classic to Z30)

No, I did not swap sim cards because of the size difference and I'm not going to buy a sim card adapter just to try it. It is what it is and I can deal with it as I always have. Additionally, I have a Q10 with working VVM. Swapping sim cards between it and my Z10 does not make my Z10's VVM work. So what you describe between a Classic and another device seems highly unlikely that it would work either.

Doing a non destructive update from a higher version to a lower version messes up the device somehow. To go lower, use autoloader or do a reload with link.....
And to go higher, use any method.

Looks that way in terms of Android app functionality. Not clear why. But so far my hybrid of 840 apps, 841 radio, and 2204 core OS is very fast, solid, and battery life seems better, although too early to know for sure.

Oh well good to know. As I said I'm not about to buy a sim adapter just to try. And of course a restore from another device would work just the same. I've done that also. But that's part of the current work around to an extent. I'd like to be able to run an autoloader and not restore, to have my VVM working, at least for a Verizon user, instead of swapping sims and such.
