Quick question is this beta OS or official, and should I risk going to it backwards through a non destructive process?

    Thanks

Yeah. Thurask's tool the lazyloader is excellent! Why use bitcasa when you can use the tool instead?

Does anyone have a clue why there are two different things happening with some OS coming with numbers still below 1000 and then there are OS with numbers already with 22xx? What's happening and what is the difference meant to be? Is it dependent on the device?

On another thread, I believe, it was posted that 2204 had both a higher release number and a later production date than 840. What we don't know is whether they are different development lines. And if they are different lines, I don't know how to choose between them.

The only thing that comes to mind is the hack we Verizon users have been forced to use since 10.3.1 to get visual voicemail working. Presumably, one does not have to do that with this build, since it's being pushed out to at least one Verizon device. For that reason, I kinda find myself wanting to downgrade to this from 2204, but I'm unlikely to convince myself to be the first.

Going to try this for the first time. Also loading because official Verizon OS. "Downgrading" from 2204.

Want to see if the radio is better. 2204 is a bit spotty for CDMA.

    And, of course, thanks, Thurask!

    EDIT: thanks to OP also!

Well I down graded from 2204 to this OS about 2hrs ago now, so in my personal experience this one is great, so far not one bug as of yet.

    So far on my Passport

    Browser I find faster.
Camera is better for my use.
    No flickering in anything yet.
No double typing if I concentrate on what I'm typing.
BBM is way smoother for me.
Synced very fast after setting up.
Phone is quicker, not as long of a pause on incoming and outgoing.
