Nope, it's just that for some people the Wallpaper Bar causes the update to fail, for others it install fine.

    Issue dates back to .281

Done! Successfully loaded all 76 patched bar files.

How? From your device, turn on development mode. Set to flight mode. Close all apps. Plug to pc. Open sachesi (I use 2.0.0 RC). Drag and drop all 76 files on sachesi. Be patient.

Seems to be totally random from the threads I have read.

If I remember correctly, it goes back to 10.3.2.281

I'm trying to understand the wallpaper bar issue a little better. What OS were you on before updating to 10.3.2.500 and did you use an autoloader to reach 10.3.2.500 or the OS before it? Lastly, did you have a custom wallpaper or just the default wallpaper installed?

The OS I'm on before going to 10.3.2.500 was 10.3.2.281. I use non destructive method from 10.3.1.x going to 10.3.2.281. Never had run any autoloader since there's no autoloader for 281 that time. When 500 was leaked including its debrick and radio then that's the time I ran the autoloader. Custom wallpaper? Yes. I rarely use default ones.

The wallpaper blowup happens on a stock load where no wallpaper change has been made (that I can confirm.) I don't think anyone knows exactly why it happens when updating using Sachesi, but if it does on a patch update you've got a problem as it may preclude a retry.

Incidentally, no debrick and clean radio yet for the Passport? (IMHO a requirement before playing with this as that's your own recovery option if the load fails in some wonkish way after the OS gets on the phone.)

Sachesi stuck on the wallpaper bar. What can I do: interrupt and close Sachesi in order to delete wallpaper app? Because I can't do it while Sahesi is running. Won't that brick the phone?

Cancel the installation, delete WALLPAPER BAR file and start over.

When you did your update of files, was the "only newer files" checked or unchecked?

I think that is where I am having difficulty when after installation, I don't show that the new OS has been installed.

When I installed 10.3.2.500, I used a blitz over 10.3.1.xxxx, which if I remember well did not contain the wallpaper bar, supposed to be buggy. This would be a good reason for the update not to work.

Good point -- if the existing wallpaper file is not of the correct version then the patch will not apply.

If you have never done an OTA update (and you can't if you're on -500 and aren't in the beta program, other than for the SD card driver which everyone appears to get) since doing the Blitz with the missing file, then your wallpaper file is old and thus would not update properly.

That's not a Sachesi problem; the version isn't right and thus the error is correct.

Tried again, got the failed wallpaper.

    Error in sys.data.wallpaper-10.3.2.969.bar failure 850 execcmd(['/base/bin/umount', '-f', '/accounts/1000/shared/protected_media/wallpaper'], timeout=10) returns 1

If I remember correctly that's "Device is busy", so that's why the wallpaper install breaks.

I think this is a "process" thing -- Sachesi and friends load in real-time with the exception of OS and Radio files, where an OTA doesn't -- that is, an OTA update just copies onto the phone, then the actual install takes place when the phone reboots.

umount -f should never fail to return, incidentally (it is supposed to force the unmount even if there are open files on the filesystem; it should break the open filehandles instead), but you know what they say about "never", right? The timeout appears to be there to prevent a deadlock that could otherwise occur in this case, and whatever the situation is that is causing the umount -f to hang that's the reason for the failure.
