I see the Autoloaders now. Thurask is the man!
I do have to ask though, I didn't see a specific autoloader for my z10 100-3. The one I saw seemed to be more generic or for the 100-4 version. Would it muck up my phone to install the wrong file, or would it just not successfully update?

Thanks much! I guess I didn't see the autoloaders. I was thinking there were only the files and I had to compile my own autoloader. Do people do that frequently? Mix and match radio and leaked OS files to dial in a winning combination for their device? Or am I way of now and showing that I truly am a rookie?

100-2 and 100-3 use the same one, they're completely identical in terms of software.

    Not that I expected any.

This 2888 update only has 17 important newer files over the previous OS and the core is included already, no new radio, the rest of this App's are the same or crap no need to install at all.
New files summing up mainly with the core-OS, email, phone, remember, messages and some minor BAR files, not a big deal but nice to see some going on anyway ;-P

So to update a device, only needs to download the file that contains the "qc8960.factory-sfi" file for the core and the "qc6960.factory_sfi.desktop" file to split out the App's using DBBT with a DBBTDeleteIgnoreList for your device and the whole update is a matter of a few minutes!

After that just keep waiting for OS-10.3.3.xxx to pop up in a couple of weeks ;-)

Really? In what way? I, too, have the SE Passport and am running 2888. It is faster and definitely better battery life than 2876. Maybe I have bugs too but I haven't noticed them.

In this case, SR2848 IS officially the combination of OS2888 and radio 2877. This happens sometimes.

Some do mix and match the OS and radio files for whatever reason. Sometimes people seem to think a previous radio file works better than the newest one, so using Sachesi they will change it out for an older version and test it out.

My experience has been that virtually every new release has improved the function of my device with only 2 exceptions. The ART screwup of .2876 and an OS (forgot which one) that gave my Passport the dreaded "flicker". Every new OS seems to either improve the device or delivers no noticeable difference (eg .2888) for me, at least.

Seems to work fine for me. Change the language to something else then back again, it may fix it.

That's a very old problem as I recall from over a year ago. May have been an issue with AT&T if that's what you're on I can't recall exactly, but do some searching on CB and maybe you'll run across it.

My Bluetooth is working OK with 2888. Only problem I've had is the Assistant not calling a number I ask for by name using a voice request, but I haven't tried to trouble shoot that yet.

Works perfectly for me. Try to toggle the language and other assistant setting until it works.

Weird, what browser are you using?

Besides, if you want a non-destructive update, all you need is the core, radio and the app package further down the first post, no need for the debrick. On the other hand, if you want to make an autoloader, they've been made already.

I performed a security wipe and then clean installed with an autoloader. My passport feels significantly hotter than previous OS, especially when downloading or uploading data! Passport SQW100-1
