    Thank you so much
Normally I would have said download the blitz file for this 10.3.2.2876 OS.

But the Android Runtime bug is so significant here, and if you're not an expert at this, I might suggest going to the 10.3.2.2813 blitz thread instead.

Right. First thing I noticed. Don't you wonder how BlackBerry could have released this? Their first step in exiting Android for OS 10?

I suspect that BlackBerry did not test the use case. Hopefully, at least one of wireless carriers would have discovered the issue in their pre-deployment testing.

if you delete an android app, play store shows that it is still installed but snap it does install it
i guess now we have some issue between this os and play store ,hopefully Cobalt can fix it
it does install updates for existing apps but it stores deleted apps somewhere and it crashes when trying to uninstall from play store
As say "conite", the android runtime is buged and make this problem... you have to push sys.android* bar files to your BlackBerry.

Observations and summary. (I have an SE Passport.)

I started with 2813 (the so-called Sprint release), loaded from a Blitz file. When 2876 was released, I did the OTA update. It was about 650 MB or thereabouts, as I recall. Reportedly, some of the app files from 2813 were newer than those in 2876. Someone in one of these threads said that the OTA upgrade replaced even the existing but newer 2813 files on the phone, but I doubt that, because if that were so, the DL of the OTA should have been much larger. I suspect the OTA of 2876 was just like a Sachesi upgrade from a Blitz file--it only upgraded with /newer/ files, regardless of version.

As we all now know, the 2876 Android runtime and Android shell are buggy. So, I replaced the Android apps in 2876 with those from 2813, and also installed the core OS and radio from 2813/2814. Then Conite said it was only the Android files that needed to be switched, so I added back the 2876 core OS and the 2877 radio with Sachesi. All was (is) working well.

I figured maybe I had pure 2876 (other than the 2813 Android bar files), if the OTA upgrade of 2876 had, in fact, replaced even the newer files from 2813. So, I did a Sachesi Blitz "upgrade" of 2813 over 2876, newer files only, and guess what? Only a single bar file was brought over, the Foursquare bar file, from 2813 to 2876.

Bottom line: The OTA upgrade of 2876 over 2813 does /not/ replace the newer files in 2813. And as Conite says, after an OTA upgrade to 2876, all you have to do to make Android behave properly is to replace the Android bar files from 2813 via Sachesi, and nothing else. You will then have all the newest app files, the latest core OS and radio, and an Android runtime that works. I suppose if you're using wifi calling, you may want to go back to the 2814 radio, too.

    Correct.

And for the sake of completeness, if you were coming from an OS PRIOR to 2813, you would do the following (if you want the latest and greatest):

    1-Blitz to 2876
2-use Sachesi to load the files "apps from 2813 that are newer than 2876" from OP
3-use Sachesi to load the two bar files from 2813 (also in OP)
4-perform a hard reset. Wait 15 minutes for device to settle

Don't forget to hard reset (both volume buttons) after loading them. Always give your device at least 10 minutes to settle, after reboot, before engaging the Runtime for the first time.

What we got here is failure to communicate....

The issue is if you delete an app it isn't really deleted. Otherwise it works fine.

With all due respect to Cool Hand Luke and Paul Newman, I think we've communicated pretty well here and on several other related threads. There is an Android bug with 2876 that shows up mainly with Google Play Store and it's apps. If you don't use the Google Android apps, it may not affect you. Several of us noted the problem, and then Conite identified the cause and the fix and posted it on the various threads.

Can't ask for much better communication than that, all of which is typical for CB.

Now, Moody might rather talk about Paul Newman, as does my wife at any opportunity, but I digress...

Yeah, sorry about not keeping up on this thread as I was away for a bit and got too lazy to read everything. I wanted to make sure I fully understood this problem because I DO have google play android apps (altho not many) and all of them work just fine. I also just deleted one, then re-installed and everything is ok as far as I can see. I guess in my case "what we got here is failure to communicate...."

Nobody said updates weren't happening. We already know there will even be a 10.3.3 around March or so.

Beyond that - that's the question. And,the development of new features has already stopped. That's why it's considered dead.

This OS is basically worked on by, maybe, two or three programmers typing away on laptops in the Janitors closet in the basement of BlackBerry Headquarters.

    Posted via CB10
No , you all said that there was the only update in March ,like you continue to say nothing else is coming post March. Good luck with the misinformation

I'm considering reload this version using the Autoloader. Knowing that this will wipe my phone I've already backed it up with Link. I've never restored with Link so my question is will I be able to selectively restore individual folders, photos, downloads, or is it an all or nothing restore? Should I just copy those folders to my laptop and then copy back after the install?
