799 fails the train test. Not only did it have no better battery but it also had worse signal reception and greater periods where no data moved compared to 2640. Tomorrow will be the 859 test.

    Hi Technarch,
can you test the WiFi signal strenght on 799 and 859 radios vs 2640 radio ?

    Thx

An autoloader can be much faster than performing a security wipe. End result is the same for your purpose.

If you're still having issues, it wouldn't hurt to try it though.

I also loaded up 799 radio for test to the my PP that is struggling to get 3G in my room. I noticed its just a tad better, but a battery drainer. Will load up a higher radio version after the tests. Its terrible though on my Z30 as it eats battery on wifi like crazy.

Hello, I loaded .799 radio on my Z30 then my phone has started to give radio update alert normally. This morning I tried to load .2640 radio but it failed twice. It seems the phone is trying to load the radio but when it restarts, still gives me the update alert. What can I do about it?

Use sachesi remove 799 radio file and then install 2640 radio file. The 2640 radio installed the device will restart.

I have software updates turned off in the settings so it doesn't try to update.

My carrier is Koodo (Telus) in Canada.

So last night 859 it did better sitting. 93% remaining vs 89% for 799.

Soon it will be time for the train test but one thing I noticed right off the bat, app drawer animations sliding back and forth were smoother and did not hitch like they were with the 799.

For a "radio only" file it does seem to have graphics effects and I'm not sure why.

I'm with you on the effect on the graphics.
Like on 4g it's smooth here, turn radio to 2g only and i noticed some 'lag'

OK I have to admit I am a little surprised. 859 passed the train test well. This test involves Hotspot mode being on the whole trip (and active) to my 4S. So the WiFi radio is on as well not just cellular. On the left is a lake for significant portions so most towers are on the opposite side. Trains also have a lot of metal and are moving.

While not identical usage pattern, it finished the trip with more battery and what is noticeable it maintained a lock on 4GLTE much more and for significantly longer than 499 and 2640 which would drop to H a lot including one portion of the trip where it would always go to H as the train crosses a river. Today it had 5 bars of LTE. It could be that they turned on a new tower last night and this is entirely possible.

So next will be to take a look at 859 at home on WiFi. But for the train 859 is good and better than 2640 in some ways.

Colour temperature seems to be different too. 799 was a warmer white than 859. Maybe I am imagining things but I don't think so.

I'm trying to use Sachesi to upgrade my Verizon Z30 to 2639.

For some reason, it gets stuck trying to download ca.bell.selfserve.release.env207.prod over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.

    It's stuck on file 141 of 194.

    Edit:
I never realized before that you can uncheck the files you don't want to download. So, I did just that to ca.bell.selfserve.release.env207.prod and poof - it finished the download.

Hi, I've have just purchased a P'9982 and it factory installed with 10.2.

Please can someone assist me in getting 10.3.2.

I am on EE in the UK and all of my other handsets have done the OTA update yet the P9982 keeps telling me it's on the latest OS.

Any help, links instructions will be gratefully appreciated. I saved up for this handset for for long time and I could not go back to using 10.2

As I mentioned in your other thread, use the Z10-STL100-2/3 links. They are the same as your device.

I don't have an answer for you. I cannot replicate your issue on my devices.

Are you running off a clean install?

If it really bothers you, I can only suggest that you run the 10.3.2.2639 autoloader which will wipe your device so you can start fresh.
