Overnight battery drain is heavier than build 2339. I believe it is because the CPU doesn't idle as low. Otherwise no worries.

Same here. OS 2339 use less battery than this latest leak but it has DT problem. The previous leak's standby time is >3 days, now it's less than a day. I even now use 2340 radio.

Am getting wifi issues. Saved wifi doesnt connect unless a hard reset is done.
I also tried to delete it frm saved and search for it...bt it dint show up either...had to hardreset to get it back

This has been an issue for several previous OS's that I have installed. But so far, after a day, I have not experienced this yet. Maybe in the next week or so. Pressing the volume keys at the same time to reset the device usually does the trick.

I installed using sachesi's 3 days ago and today when I woke up my phone I got a notice my phone was updated to this OS? And the phone is pretty warm. Rebooted and shut down and just restarted it. Hope the heat doesn't continue.

As mentioned before. It's the same ****ty radio as 2340.
If you do not use nfc, try 799 radio, it's a golden combo over here.

    Posted via CB10
what trouble does it bring to NFC??
I just have to download radio and drop it in sachesi rite??
And is this combo really good for all phones or just q10?
And above all, thanks for the tip

I have that os combo on both z10 and passport and it gives a great battery life. Radio 841 and 859 also had great battery but 799 heats much les.
You have to drop the .bar file in sachesi and UNCHECK the 'only install newer' tab.

    It will update and reboot

I forgot they are all signed. It should be safe. Now I suppose malware could be slipped into your PC during the download, but the phone should be secure.

I wish there was md5 info on the official BlackBerry downloads.

Inside each bar file is a signed file and a manifest file. The manifest file has SHA-512 hashes (in Base64) for each asset in the bar file, i.e. the signed file.

Just did this as the other radio was killing my battery. 10% loss in 20 mins just being on CB. It's been settled for a couple days so it's not from the new install. Hoping this will help.

Anyone using 799 radio on a SE passport? 859 soft bricks the SE Passport no matter how you load it, in my experience. It worked fine on the OG Passport.

So--have you loaded 799 on the SE successfully?

I used Sachesi to update my VZW Z30 with just the Debrick and Radio and it completed successfully, but under About it still shows the OS of 10.3.2.2339 but radio of 10.3.2.2640...

Is this because I didn't have the core file just the apps (taken from the debrick file) and radio?
Have you checked to see if VVM works on your lovely Verizon Z30? I'm very interested in this answer. Thanks kindly

I don't understand, I came from official 2339 on my SE passport to this build and it works flawless! Of course I used a autoloader then let settle for about 10 minutes then did a factory reset with no restore,i know overkill, but like I said it's working flawless for about a week!

A "factory reset" after an autoloader and no backup restore, ensure that you have a safe transition when upgrading. *imho*

Does the sha-512 insure data integrity as well as the file hasnt been hacked?

That, plus the signing token included inside the bar. Would require the black hat to get BlackBerry's signing keys and package a malicious but valid signed file; exceedingly difficult.

If a signed file has a different hash than what's in the manifest, something is up.

Anyway, in lieu of a MD5 to check file integrity after download, you can use the SHA-512 after extracting the signed file and accounting for it being in Base64 instead of hexadecimal.

Update on my radio status. With radio 799 and OS 2639 my battery has drastically improved. 20 mins on CB, with music app and Bluetooth on, with only 2% loss of battery compared to the newer radio with 10% loss in 20 mins on CB only.

I wish I understood what is different with the older radios compared to the new radios. There is a reason why new ones are made yet. Maybe the better battery life with 799 is because it's not transferring data as fast or drops signal more frequently?
