When I install, do I select "only newer newer apps" or should I install all bar files for my Passport?

I'm currently running OS 10.3.1.2267 with Radio .2244

Suggestions or experiences from other Passport owners??

So far, after 14 hours or so, no one has reported flicker. Of course, loading in a new OS involves rebooting one or more times, and that was one of the temporary cures for flickering.

But assuming this OS patch/upgrade holds, and the flicker problem is solved, I wonder why it took so long for BB to come up with this fix? After all, it was only over the weekend that Michael Clewley, the product manager, took this on as his personal cause, and "persuaded" the software engineers to find a fix. (If I were a software engineer trying to keep my job and the product manager asked me to solve a problem, I might even come in over a weekend to try to do it.)

Maybe they had been working on it already, but the timing is pretty suspicious. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted that they have apparently done it, even if it gives me less to complain about now and less reason to open CB every five minutes. But it's hard to believe that BB was so oblivious to the problem until now.

And now the question is, how is BB going to get this fix or patch out to all the non-CB type end users, say, the first time Passport buyers with AT&T, when they get their flicker and start calling in to AT&T tech support?

What you Testers think about the BATTERY PERFORMANCE?

I'm not getting a good one to be honest.

Early days, but not looking as good as my tried and tested .2243/2073/1955 combo.

See how it goes as it settles.

Excellent points, especially the question about the "First time Passport buyers who are not aware of this fix.
As a matter of fact this is not a fix it is just a temporary way to ward off the vocal users who are technically able to fix things but failed this time a round. lol.
Personally, I had solved the flickering problem, with a simple re-installing of the Core OS and Radio with Sachesi, after having installed my apps.

Going to try making the jump to 10.3.1 now that we appear to have a fix for the flickering issue. Here's hoping I don't run into notification volume problems, however, or I'll have to switch to my iPhone till that's addressed...

Just updated. Early days, but no flicker as yet.

Otherwise, seems as per the rollout builds (as one would expect).

Contemplating the 68 new apps for my Z30. Hard to decide when everything is chugging along so smoothly.

I loaded the 68 apps too.

I've had no discernible difference in battery life starting with 10.2.1, through all the 10.3.1 leaks, and with the official 2267. Too early to tell about these apps - but it's highly unlikely they will have any effect.

Quite noticeable increase in system process time on CPU. Side loaded the bars over 2243 as I was never happy with 2267 on my device. Hopefully this will be settled by this evening

If and when I decide to revert back it will be after giving the new OS a chance, and not a knee jerk reaction a few hours after install or the result of unsolicited advice.

I wasn't even complaining about the OS, merely responding to another post requesting views/information.

After i mastered Sachesi - and found a broken USB-Post - everything is just fine.

But ... why are Z30-Users installing a file which is labeled: "Passport only"?

When I complete the sachesi udate the phone auto restarts, but is now stuck at 100% loaded and keeps switching between saying finalizing device setup and installing new updates... any ideas? Should I just reboot it?

EDIT: I just held the top button and device restarted as per normal.. lols

You can wait, or hold the power button down. That's what I did
