Can I restore the full back up that I did earlier today prior to doing all this?
You can, but if you notice any problems, you'll realize it could be from the backup. I never restore.

Go for it. Many have had success. They say it better to do selective restore leaving out app settings.

Don't worry. Now that you know what you're doing, you can just do everything all over again if you need to lol

Well. The OS that you had before? Did you upgrade OTA?

I had 1955, the one that's come with the Passport att, and upgraded to 2480 with sachesi and this is what I have now.

Sorry. I needed sleep. So did you have any issues with the physical keyboard? If you did, connect to link and see if it can restore your device back to 1955. Then try to get 2267 on there first. Then 2480

These are the OS .2480 upgrade files for the BlackBerry Passport only. It is suggested that this release has the Passport screen flicker fix in it. In order to load it onto your device, download Sachesi, plug in your device, go to the install tab, hit the install folder box, choose the presumably extracted folder and let it install the files until it installs all 70, unless there is files you specifically decided to leave out.

If you get warnings, they're safe to ignore assuming you actually read the fact these are for the Passport only and you're not loading them on some other device. At this point, there is no autoloaders, there is no files for other devices and the possible issues/additions aren't fully known plus, you need to already have 2243 or 2267 installed as you'll be overwriting it with these. (Others may work but haven't been tested by me see user comments) You dig? Alright then. Get to it.

I am very frustrated to say the least at this time, so my apologies for the venting in my post!

We are unable to share contacts since 10.3.1 update. I used this post and Blitzed 2480 on and I still can't share...

I am not the only one either, I just saw this morning someone else posted a thread,

10.3.1.2480 autoloader (Core OS + radio) works great I bet it's much safer than sideloading it. Then the rest of 68 apps done via Darcy. Thanks to my uncles, Otto and Azrul!

How is it safer? Sachesi either loads the files or it doesn't. No harm done. I love autoloaders but I'd rather have a full autoloader that wipes everything. CoreOS +radio is cool too. I wouldn't say it's safer. Just a different way. Sachesi is much easier for people unfamiliar with building autoloaders.

Thank you so much for your help!!! Actually I haven't had any issues so far. It works fine and smooth but I was worried because some people say if I don't upgrade from 2267 I'm missing some apps.

Can't really tell but works for me. Sideloading both core and radio take longer than using core autoloader. You sideload core, phone restart. Then another one for radio, phone restart and so on.

Not really. It loads all 70 files. Then restarts. But no matter. We all get what we want in the end. All good!

Autoloaders will always be faster than sideloading when talking about OS/radio installs.

    Autoloader
    • Send to Device
    • Write to proper partition as it receives the update.
    • Done

    Sideload
    • Send bar to device
    • write bar to temporary storage
    • device has to read from bar, verify contents
    • then write to partition
    • Done

So sideloading is roughly 2 times the work of just autoloading so it'd take 2 times as long. Also if you're low on device space the autoloader will succeed where sideloading would not because it needs space to store those temporary files.

Sideloading does do a better job of updating all the lists which show which apps (and OS/radio) are actually installed on the phone. So if after updating via autoloader DBBT/Sachesi/etc still show an old OS version that'd probably be why. It's totally cosmetic though and doesn't seem to make a difference.

Either way though they both do the same thing, so do whichever method you prefer.

I have no idea what happened, weird, try to re-install the core OS alone.

Mine did that with 1267. It installed all of the 2267 blitz file. Except for the core is which remained 1599 or some older core OS. I went ahead and loaded the 2480 on top and it works great.

Did they fix low wifi range ? are they even working on it ? Do they even know ?
I haven't heard of that one, so unless it's a faulty phone the problem would be the router or interference.

If you have access to the router, change the channel to #2. Lower channels=increased range at the expense of slightly higher ping. Channel 1 and 11 often aren't widely supported.

If you can't log onto the network then you chose an incompatible channel, so connect to the router hardwired (desktop? laptop? via ethernet) and change settings again.

The default normally would be #6 but nowadays most routers are set to "Auto" which screws around with connectivity. Might be a channel designated by, i.e., an iPod a week ago and it won't change the channel until everything disconnects from the network. The first device that reconnects would "recalibrate" the router to pick a channel.

Can you provide the link to installing 2267? Also is installing it the same thing as what has been detailed by blaze? Better yet, is there a step to step installing thread for 2267? Also, after how long should i then install 2480?
