I really wish they would drop the two number system.
I do not mean to be argumentative, but the so-called two-number system is a sensible configuration management hierarchy. The 1581, in this case, uniquely identifies a release package of core OS, radio and app files. The 2267 identifies the core OS, a component of a release. We favor referencing a release in CB postings by the OS version number, which can create confusion.

Does DDPB work on these bar files, or does one need to use Sachesi?

I'm aware of all that. It just leads to a lot of confusion and frustration for the new folks and the people trying to help them. They should at least make the OS version the prominent number on the main "about" page.

1581 is the software release version of the 2267 OS. No need to install official 2267 over leaked 2267. They are identical in every way.

I really wish they would drop the two number system.

They can keep software release to refer to a combination of OS and radio, but make less mention of it. They shouldn't release software and identify it by SR. I have the same opinion. I find SR numbers too difficult to remember and it confuses those who don't know the difference

Yes, I did, but I FIRST did the .2267 Blitz, then did the .2480 patch.
Others in this thread have said they were able to do the patch on top of .1955, but I didn't want to chance it.

First reboot after the patch is really long, will feel like a security wipe, but thereafter all is well.

Here's the link for the .2267 Blitz.

Sachesi install took about 13-14 minutes.
Passport initial reboot took about 10-12 minutes.

    Thanks again for replies!!

I believe the reason *not* to update directly from 1955 is because 2267 updates several files that 2480 does not. So going from 1955 directly to 2480 works, but you will not have all the latest files.

Boy am I dense. I can't figure out how to install these bar files with Dacy tool and Sachesi will not allow my phone to connect, yet it see the phone.

Have always used DDPB to install bar files and have done so with ease.

    What am I missing here?

No joy. This is the same problem I have with Sachesi. Won't log in. They know what phone it is, but just won't log in.

I'll give it a go tomorrow. Off to bed.

If you want the latest apps, you should load it over 2267, as 2267 has a number of apps newer than 1955 (and 2243) which aren't part of the 2480 upgrade package.

    It will work regardless however.

    Z30STA100-5/10.3.1.2267
I just realised I was on .2243 (confoud OS version and Softwareversion)
My concern is the SIM (device is not connected to the mobile network)... I hope the upgrade repairs it!
