    Seems BlackBerry finally realised that the beta testers are probably not enough to give feedbacks and have started opening up the servers again
    Yup, I can imagine some engineers are reading these forums daily XD

    Where have I seen that before?

    Oh, right. qcfm.image.com.qnx.coreos.qcfm.os.qc8960.factory_s fi.BB10_3_0.1154.761676.signed

    Same build ID. Just a bugfix.

    Hmph, quit my game of Space Engineers for this.
    So it isn't even worth to see if there are any updated app bar files? Wondering if SirJes can check this out and compare...

    Ironic thing is none of the big testers actually got the closed beta status
    As far as I know, none of our old BL team actually got in
    Maybe we were blacklisted rofl

    The build number indicates it's probably just a single change in code in the core OS

    I would actually suggest to load the 1172 core for qc8960 if it is released
    That's where the bugfix will be

    Dumped this and 1154 with DBBTool, did a folder compare. This is the difference, in startup.sh:

    case "${PLATFORM_LOWERCASE}" in
    (windermereemea)
    ecid=$(PPS_VALUE "/pps/system/nvram/deviceinfo" 'ECID')
    case "${ecid}" in
    (77 | 402 | 461 | 462 | 10025 | 10516 | 441 | 277 | 85 | 444 | 168 | 406 | 440 | 167 | 442 | 186)
    echo "sar_head::0.50" >> /pps/services/deviceproperties
    echo "sar_body::1.18" >> /pps/services/deviceproperties
    ;;
    esac
    ;;
    esac

    That's it. Nothing particularly relevant, just a change to the specific absorption rate values.

    This is why I do non destructive upgrades, there's no way I would be doing a clean autoloader install 3 times in 3 weeks. Lol. Thanks for the content!

    If it works for you, keep doing it. I prefer wiping and doing a clean install with manual backup and restore of my data by copying and pasting folders. Download apps, contacts synced from Google account and all settings manually configured after the install. Takes about 2-2 1/2 hours but it's totally worth it. No strange bugs. Just the common issues most people report.

    Dunno what "strange bugs" you are referring to but never got any and always did non-destructive updates (takes less than 10 mins without new app bars) and everything works great AND saves tons of time too.
