Exactly my thinking. . . I think I recall seeing somewhere that the more recent 10.2 leak had Wi-Fi calling but I honestly don't know where I saw it or if I made it up . . .lol

No, it does not work in all the 10.2 leaks I've tried (I'm on T-Mobile, so I can theoretically use it.)

unfortunately it doesnt work. the best solution i have found is running 10.2.0.1323 plus 10.2.0.811 radio. it gives you the general problems error when on wifi and sending a text but wifi calling is flawless.

I have not tried to load the radio from the 4200 update only (which you CAN grab now using Sachesi) -- it has an ODD version number incidentally.

IF it loads and runs on 10.2 then WiFi would probably work. But that's a big IF, and my guess is that the phone won't come up. I might try it over the weekend -- I can't take a full-reload hit right now (it takes me ~3 hours to recover from a full destructive load and I need the phone for work purposes) and there is a very significant risk that if you flash that radio on top of 10.2 that's exactly what you'll be doing next.

I'm going to give this radio install a try for you guys.

I'm 99.999 percent sure it's going to mess my phone up. I will post with results when I have them.

I put the latest 10.1 radio in the 10.2.0.1444 installation, and wifi calling is enabled, i can text over wifi (and it even tells me good job), but, I cannot make calls, with wifi enabled or disabled.

one thing i am having trouble understanding is why IMS is disabled in the newer 10.2 radios.

Because it was only partly-functional in the 10.1.0.4xxx builds. T-Mobile's latest load has a custom radio with it.

I mean all of them other than T-Mobile's latest with their apparently-custom radio file.

They wouldn't have pushed a custom radio file if they didn't need it.

I got that pop-up before on 10.1.0.4xxx but my success in actually USING it was spotty. Sometimes it would connect but there was no voice path, for example!

I've run Wi-Fi calling on 10.2 with the .810 radio, and it worked pretty well, the only issue was the ringer when making a call would be silenced.

DO NOT attempt to flash the T-Mobile 10.1.0.4200 load over the top of 10.2 non-destructively.

I just tried it and it locked up after it rebooted. Waited a good 20 minutes, never booted fully.

I had to reflash destructively to get out of it.

Thought it MIGHT work (it usually does going forward in rev) but it does NOT. Learn from my pain

Thanks but could you clarify a bit. Are you saying not to install the new update if I have 10.2 installed and that I should go back to 10.1 before upgradingf

No, I tried to go BACK to the official T-Mobile 10.1.0.4200 load via Sachibar (non-destructive) -- it loaded, but after booting wound up on the lockscreen and the screen itself was non-responsive.

A reboot (which did work from the volume keys) didn't help; THAT locked on the loading icon at 100% and remained there for well over a half-hour, at which point I gave up and destructively loaded instead.

I knew this was a dangerous option but decided to try it. Just saving other people the trouble of attempting it and being forced to do an autoloader anyway.
