My battery was awesome until today. I happend to carry my phone into work, where I can't get a signal. The device is warn and the battery is depleted significantly. I wonder if it is sucking battery to find a signal. WiFi is off. Seems like when it can find a signal, I don't have the issue.

    Seems to be correlated somehow.

If this becomes "the norm" with this leak, I'll have to go back. Again, when outside of work (where it can find a tower), all seemed OK.
That's completely normal, happened with my previous Android devices. What happens is, the phone will always try to get better signal or signal (if its really bad coverage)...

I'm running .1047 with .810 runtime, on STL100-3. I installed last Friday night, so today is day 4.

I'd say "a little worse" than full .810 is an accurate description of my current (ha!) battery life. It's not horrible or "doomed," just not quite as good as I was getting before. I take my phone off the charger at about 6:15 every day, and usually have enough power to last until 10 pm. On this leak, I haven't made it past 8 pm yet, with the same usage patterns.

For my STL100-1 is not as good as it was on 4651, but I can live with it now that I have toast and lock screen notifications!

I think it's more along the lines of people posting their findings with their battery on this OS and working together to see where things might be failing.

    Disagree.

My previous leak had stellar battery life right from the night I installed it.

My experience is that this OS does seem to have a problem in less than optimal signal strength.

Sorry, I don't believe in magic. I have 10.1.0.4687 for almost 2 weeks now. Battery life has been the same all the time: when network is strong: good battery, when network is weak: battery dies fast.

It's going to take time no matter what you say. Sorry

Battery is ok for me. After installation was the worst performance but that is understandable since the phone is adjusting. 24 hours later it seems to be ok. But I still feel 10.1.0.4867 was better in terms of battery life.

Same here, battery is a little worse on 10.2 compared to. 4867 but I'll give it a few days

Hm, for me, this is the first leak where battery life gets worser every day. First was "normal-bad" because of settlement, next was okay, [...] today the typical standby powerusage of around 0,06 W never comes back. Always uses more then 0,15 W in standby.

No ports installed, no sideloading. No additional apps beside BatterGuru. BES Activated with PIM, Facebook and Evernote. Noting more. All the same from the beginning.

Started with a wipe - o's install - wipe - setting up. No restore. Nothing.

This is today - in the office with wifi and full 3G coverage. The line is olways below zero.

OS 10.2.0.1047 battery life seems to be a little worse-img_00000854.png

Yesterday, same situation, in the office all day, the "line" in standby is nearly zero

OS 10.2.0.1047 battery life seems to be a little worse-img_00000855.png

Nothing changed. No additional apps, nearly the same amount of mails...

    Don't know why....

Of course. But I won't believe that my phone is still settling in after two weeks.

Yesterday I did not have any data transfer. And the battery lasted for ever!

From 8-9 and 10-12 hrs is data on a bad wifi connection. No 3G as alternative. So in approx 3 hours 40% of the battery gone.

If you had asked me yesterday, I would have said battery life was the same (great) as the last leak (.810) but yesterday I left BBM in an active frame and it killed over 50% of my battery in a couple of hours. I had been running an Android app or 2 previously and did not check to see if they were running in the background before my phone shut itself down. I'll pay a bit more attention today. Based on the posts I've see around here, there is definitely something going on with this build. But its still a leak.

My phone battery actually discharges when plugged in...that is, it was plugged in to charge up, but would start discharging as soon as I'd start using it...I just did a wipe and restore, and it's still doing that...I also had better battery life on the first couple of days, and it got worse over time.

My experience parallels some of yours. I installed 10.2 last weekend and initially had fantastic battery life, even better than what I had under 10.1. Then Tuesday night I decided to use one of the new features in 10.2 and I set up three alarms (yes, depending on the day of the week, I need to wake up at different times). Literally, my battery life instantly went from great to awful. In fact, Wednesday morning I unplugged my phone from the charger at about 6:00am, and by 9:30 here at work I was down to 10% with minimal usage. Moreover, it took forever to recharge. The battery was almost draining faster than it could recharge. According to Device Manager, the System was eating up about 40-45% of the CPU.

Well, I tinkered with various settings. I even turned off and eventually deleted two of the three alarms (it seems you can't delete them all), thinking they might be the culprit. The ONLY thing that helped was turning off WiFi when I wasn't connected to a network. This wasn't the case in 10.1.

So, are we seeing a pattern? Is leaving WiFi on while you're not connected to a network causing the battery drain? Are those of us experiencing good to great battery life either turning WiFi off or remaining connected much of the day? Are those experiencing poor battery life leaving WiFi on even when we're not connected to a network, so that the system is eating up our batteries constantly scanning for an available WiFi signal?

    Posted in another thread:

Worse for me...and I have it narrowed down to Android player.

In one of the other threads on battery life. Someone suggested looking at the System process under App Manager. I did and mine was over 50%. I forced closed the Android system using Ghost Commander. Checked again it went down to 40ish%. Plugged Z10 in and let it charge and settle over night. Woke up this morning and system is at 5-8%.

With about an hour of heavy use this morning, including android apps, I have lost 5%. Before force closing in Ghost commander, I would be down 10-12% in the first hour.

I will monitor the rest of the day.

Edit: Just left the house. Last app used was Candy crush before leaving. Get to Barber shop not on WIFI, check System Process it is at 52%. Kill Android in Ghost Commander, and back down to 4%.

No to decide if I need to reload or downgrade.

I have a strange problem with my battery on OS 10.2.
When the battery reaches below 40%, the phone turns off, and I need to charge it again because it "thinks" that the battery is 0%.
After a couple of minutes of charge, the phone turns on again, and the battery shows 40% of charge.

Is someone else having this problem?
i have the same problem, only difference is mine shuts down after 35%.
