Quick question - if .4633 is the MR release, what is this version?

    Via my Zormtrooper...
    It's a leaked version.

4633 and 4537 are both available for carriers to white list as official. does that mean development on 10.1 stops? Not yet. It will eventually, probably well after 10.2 is released, but until then they'll keep working on the 4xxx series. Carriers will be given the choice of using (some of) the new builds too.

    Hi all,

I downloaded 10.1.0.4651 and unzipped it. I backed up the Z10 on BB Link. I need some guidance here because I have never updated with a leaked OS before. I'm just so fed up with Verizon, I'm finally ready to do this. Can anyone direct me to a step-by-step guide for dummies?

    Thanks ahead,

Battery usage for my second full day on this leak.
On wifi most of the day and lte when driving and at grocery store. Moderate use during work with texts, fb, a few calls, cb, etc. Heavier use after work. Here I am winding down for the night and still with plenty of juice left.

Also, phone temp seems to have stabilized more. Still warmer than I'd like but better overall.

I also went for a run early this morning and used endomondo and can confirm that gps locked quickly and worked well.

This is day 3 for me on this build and the first time since owning the Z10 that I went from wake to sleep without having to charge at some point during today. Woke up at 7am and I still have 17%. I consider myself medium/medium-heavy user. No gaming today.

You can't restore from 10.2 to 10.1. The only way to do it is to change the restore file manifest which it can be done easily using darcy's tool and you can find the thread about darcy's tool (download link and user guide) stickied in the leaked forum section.

I'm on STL100-2 and no issues with BBM, BBM channels, BBM Voice or BBM Video.

Try doing a Security Wipe if a reboot or batt pull doesn't work.

My Z10 is currently running the official 10.1.0.2354.

Is there any benefit to loading this leak or would I be farther ahead to wait for a complete and stable 10.2?

    Thanks

As you can see from all of our reports, this is one of the best and stable versions we have seen to-date. Performance is solid, battery life is very good and there are little to no issues with this build.

I would recommend moving up to it, but the decision is yours to make. I don't believe we will have a solid/stable 10.2 released that quickly, so you might as well enjoy this build while we patiently wait.

I dunno how I managed to do this but it happened when swiping from the hub to the active frames!

    Anybody else had this?

Edit: Damn can't upload picture somehow!

The active frames are smaller then usal and I could scroll up and down while seeing more frames then when they are original sized.
even adding more frames made them as small as the others

Have you done a battery pull or reboot? If not, try that, and if that doesn't work you might need to do a security wipe. I have not seen or experience this problem on any build before.

@Joewaked: if you do decide to wipe, don't worry if takes too long. When I wiped the phone I was worried that I had done something wrong since it took forever to wipe. Just sit back and let it work.

    White Z10 Verizon 10.1.0.1483
Normally takes only 15-20 minutes max, but sometimes it could take longer, so as your friend said, no need to worry, let it run, but be sure you are plugged into an AC source just in case.

I'm the opposite. I've got everything turned on and I get nothing. I just deleted and reinstalled and hope that works.

    Posted via CB10
You're not the only one and this has been happening on several other builds as well.

Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help. Neither did Settings restore or setting up from scratch.

I suspect this is an issue with the FB app.

Quick question. Does blackberry protect work with this leak? My on button is grayed out.

Mine isn't greyed out, but when I first turned it on the little circle located to the left of the button was just spinning. After a reboot it works fine.

    Installed.

Restore dint worked so imported contacts and added accounts and did everything else again.

    Everything seems settled.

    It's been a day. I am on STL 100-1.
Plugged out charger today at 10 am. It's 5.45 PM here and battery is at 60%. Showing 25 hrs standby time.
Frequent calls, games ( native and android both ) crackberry Facebook and Twitter,WhatsApp BBM, pretty much heavy usage. So far the best battery time I got. Better than 4543 and 4633.

I knew I'd jinx myself in posting that.

My Z10 just randomly rebooted itself tonight on 4651. Now granted, 4 days is the longest it's ever gone without a random reboot, but still... it shouldn't happen at all.
I have a VZW Z10 and installed this OS last Saturday. I had one reboot that day and 2 on Monday but since then the phone has not rebooted so it is looking like it may not do it again. Probably just jinxed myself as well.

Bet you installed or removed an app today.

Mine will reboot from time to time after installing or removing an app. Otherwise no reboots.

    Using a BlackBerry Z10 ** OS:10.1.0.4651
My reboots didn't not occur near the installation or removal of an app. The one that occurred the day of install happened around 6 or 7 hours after the install but I could see that one being related to the install but not the 2 that occurred 2 days later.

To move up or not move up. That is the question! Reading through the last few pages has certainly made me feel as though I should stay right where I'm at. 10.1.0.2342 and still goin strong! Still haven't had a random reboot since the 25th of May!

I mean out of 5 OS's this is my first one that randomly reboots but with all the updated features and bug fixes this is definitely the OS to be on.

After you extract a bar from a leak how do you repackage it so that you can install it on your BB10 device? I want to install three extra browsers on my device. I successfully extracted and unzipped a bar. Edited the xml to remove certain permissions and renamed it. Then zipped it up.

I read then you can use webworks packager to sign it. I have keys etc but when I tried it said no config.xml file. The xml is call bar-descriptor.xml. What can I do to get this signed? I know how to upload it to my device. It's just the repackaging that isn't working. By the way I use a Mac and the terminal to package it.

I prefer the phrase "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" I just feel its risky of me to take the chance. My phone has been flawless for months on end now. I could load the latest leak, have an issue, then try to go back, and end up having issues again. Do you understand my skepticism?

Can you not just use Sachesi to install them? Didn't think you even needed to modify the XML file in the bar file to do this.
