The "squircle" everyone talks about is not just that shape.

Way back on early 10.2.1 development - or was it 10.2.0... I forget now - an early beta leaked out that had an animated double spinning squircle waiting icon instead of the more common circle spinning around itself that you get now.

Word was, it "confused people", but we never found out who these "people" were that were so easily confused by a simple - and obvious - animation. It disappeared in the next leaked build... never to be seen again.

It now has been given legendary status.

Fond memories. My mind tells me it was 10.2.0.1047, a very good OS for such an early build number milestone, when you compare newer branches

If dark hub is not in final 10.3.2, I am getting rid of my BlackBerry. I am serious!

Yeah its long overdue. I was honestly expecting it to be implemented already when I bought my Q10 a couple weeks ago - it's only been out since 2013.

If you switch the contrast mode in the accessibility options you can get a dark hub at the expense of inverting everything else

Dark hub is a nice to have not a must have! Anyone who is planning to leave BlackBerry over it not coming soon shouldn't have been on a BlackBerry anyway.

Sarcasm. I don't think people will really leave BlackBerry for this. Apple doesn't have a dark hub, or a hub at all

Well to navigate between mail they have a mail app. To navigate between SMS, they have an SMS app, etc. All notifications are going into a kind of listbox in the Notification Center but it is not categorized.

It wasn't epilepsy. I think they said it was "dizzying" and user said that they know someone who vomited from it. Ridiculous

Are you serious? That's why we lost the squircle? (and the first sign that BB10 would lose its identity.) Ugh, I want to load up that leak again.

    Long live the Squircle.

I wonder what blackberry is waiting for to implement black hub. It doesn't make any sense when other user interfaces of your device is black and your hub is white of which you can't change.

Yeah, I don't understand that either. Is that really so hard to switch the background from white to black?

I think it may be that they need to make it so changing the hubs colour would also result in a hub reset to make the changes effective, without having to restart your phone.

I guess there is the three swipes in the top right corner but that's my take on it.

I know it sounds very easy, but it does take a fair bit of work. Plus, you want to make it look nice and classy, so that takes a little more time.

Have a feeling it will be part of 10.3.2 as a "feature feature"

    That is absolutely ridiculous.

Anyone think we could petition BlackBerry into bringing it back?

(I know, I'm dreaming, but I'd honestly learn how to decompile, crack, modify the raw assembly code to bring back the Squircle, recompile, and load the OS to my phone if it were possible..)

I think the hub itself is easy, and was likely done early on. The hurdle is after you tap into a message, there is where it's gotta be tough to make that screen dark and look great with different types of messages colors ect.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm pretty certain I'm not BTW), but the Z30 never had a dark hub; so how can you miss something you never had in the first place?
